Root [Virgin Mobile] [OLD]Sprint to Virgin Mobile LTE/MMS FIX [OLD]

Reflashed MOAR ROM along with V2 of the fix and still the only thing that seems to be broken in receiving MMS. Is anyone else not having that problem?

ok well the numeric thing, it may or may not be set in aosp stuff, but if unset i believe it defaults to 310120. virgin is after all on the sprint network just like boost. and in my experience cm doesnt like you using the boost mobile fake numeric mask for the sprint network

ive experimented alot and it seems aosp needs the real network code based on the towers in the apn. so itd be numeric 310120 mcc=310 mnc=120

now as far as that server thing you found that should be your answer. it seems stock roms are more hardcoded for lte and what not. that does tend to happen, also id double check the password stuff and everything really against the stock apn backup. that stock backup should have all the right settings and only the enteies found in my force one should be necessary may take a little more tinkering, play with the settings see what works for you. may not be the same as what works for me or for stock. but itll be some combination of the pieces you have just gotta put em in the right order at this point

I'm having problem flashing back to jellybom romantic to moar. I installed moar rom. Data isn't working on me right now after I flash moar rom. Maybe you have to flash ryder rom and with Ktweaker

Shot in the dark but if you haven't yet try the KT747 kernel. It really shouldn't matter much but since that is the only one I use I just wanted to make sure.

not a problem. my other projects have been put on hold for a bit so it gives me something to do. also a side note. setting network mode to 9 should be right as far as i know but i dont work on samsungs. and there are eri edits associated with some samsungs so you might see a 3g icon when on 4g so ALWAYS run a speed test to verify. just keep at it man i know youll get it, just takes a little time to put tye puzzle together

Thanks. I've swapped out Eri.xml on my own. Trying to make a universal mod that inserts the new file into the framework is an issue. A challenge for sure.

well if its built for this phone specifically, even if it is meant for the sprint version, eri should be right for you if the eri is right for them. and the modding MIGHT be possible through an odex or something but im not sure on that one

When I tested it yes. My daily driver is my MG2 ROM with the MOAR mod on top. Keeps most of our base Virgin Mobile parts and adds the MOAR goodness.

This happened to me too. I just reflashed and it worked the next time.

I tried either one. It last like couple mins but then it gave me prepaired update it would't let me surf the web no data. MMS works though I flash back to Ryder rom

I think the bug after flashing moat ROM and your mod is
When your on WiFi on/off toggles it mess up your data
I reflash moat ROM and the mod is working but turn on WiFi toggle kinda of mess up data

Ok stayed up to late again.

Can someone on CM10.1 or 10.2 try this one:

Give it a good 10MIN before you try to send a MMS. It may take 5-8min just to see the 3G and internet to show.

...If it works Ill clean it up and post the CM fix.

I think you will find it soon ! on boost thay have all touchwiz roms working an there stock rom is mg2 as well !

Good news and bad news.
Good news is the 3g works I think MMS works too haven't really text anyone yet.

Bad news no root access after. Root.zip if you look at forum which direction it told you.
SD or internal card block all my stop so might repeat the process but with different version
And yet wifi and 3g works good job though little bugs really dissapointed my music are gone but I see if I could flash back to Ryder and do the process again

Cm10.1 rc 4 just need fix on root access and external memory vanish after installing this rom

Not getting 4g with any of your 3 fixes. Flashed MOAR 5.01 in the order suggested in your post. 3g seemed to work fine, speed definitely not 4g though. Started from stock MG2
