just use creative ways to restore the data you want.... Like using 3rd party apps such as: Root Explorer, Titanium Backup, and sms backup/restore. There couldn't possibly be much unique data that need to be restored

Restoring a data partition can many times lead to errors in aftermarket custom ROMs... Always better to flash and run clean, then find a way to restore your data piece by piece....
My phone was working fine the whole day on LTE and 3G with all of my data retrieved from backup, then in the evening around 7pm, no data connection period. So I tried to install this new weekly with the fix again. In it's bare state, I get 4G and LTE.

I'm assuming that you're asking me if the rom is still running well...?
If so, then the answer is yes! I am still running Slim ROM and loving every minute of my freedom from touchwiz....

The Camera seems to work flawlessly for all of my testing.

Calling and speakerphone seem to work fine as well as all other aspects of audio; using headphones and speaker.

I used maps, navigation and gps intensively today with no issues at all.

The all over feel of the phone is much better and the LTE seems to connect faster and more often than touchwiz on my ride down 270 & 495 toward DC then stayed connected more consistently than this phone has ever been able to handle before.

-----Not sure if this reply helps... hope is does------

Exactly what i was looking for, sorry for my poor wording. This gives me hope to flash that rom and the fix now!

MMS & 4G LTE Confirmed Working on latest fix!!!!!

Hardware/Firmware: SPH-L710 (Originally MD7 Base) Had been upgraded to MG2 Bootloader & Baseband.

Recovery: d2spr version CWM 6.0.3.1 Download Here

ROM Flashed: [ROM] [4.3] Slim Bean (d2spr) --- Slim-d2spr-4.3.build.1.4-WEEKLY-1135

FIX Flashed (After Initial Reboot): CM-AOSP_D2VMU_APN_FIX-LTE

I attached a screenshot with proof of me sending a MMS to myself...

Also I used LTE in Georgetown University in DC as a tether and a square credit card reader all day long with extremely consistent and reliable signal and ping time.

Try What i have used, it may work for some of you....

I did as you said, I do get LTE all the time, but I cannot send or receives MMS. I told my brother to send me a picture and it never came through and when tried to send him one it just stays stuck on "sending..." Seems like back to square one with either choosing to have LTE or MMS functionality. :(

I just tried as well. I also have LTE but no MMS. My phone is stock MD7 but never upgraded to MG2. That doesn't make a difference does it?

Don't think it does, my brothers S3 is the same as yours at MD7, and mine is MD7 upgraded to MG2, my smallest brother's is also MD7 upgraded to MG2, and they all act the same with each APN Fix version and ROM.

For those who didnt have MMS (with LTE)

I think Im getting closer. I do thanks all of you for testing these for me. Baby steps but we are getting closer

This one has 3 active APN lines. 1 For LTE, 1 for EHRPD, and the last for MMS. It worked for me (EHRPD mode) and it also even worked with Wifi on.

Give this a go:
CM-AOSP_D2VMU_APN_FIX-LTE-MMS_T1

Its close....I hope. You "should" get full LTE with this fix too.

If you lose 3G or 4G try this:

Goto Settings > More... (Under Wierless & Networks) > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

There you should see my 3 APN lines. You should see 2 (LTE and EHRPD) with activate buttons (dots). One may even be lit up. If you lose connection try clicking the opposite you want, then the activate the one you want.

IE: I only get EHRPD so to "reset" the APN Ill push to dot for the LTE, when its lit up Ill wait a few seconds then activate the EHRPD one. It might take a min or two but it usually comes back then.

BTW - you then know what APN setting its currently utilizing by the highlighted dot.

This mod (or my others) didnt seem to show up on Rootbox ROM though. Im currently using Vanir ROM and loving it.

Thanks!!! This is the last thing I have time to test today but I'm giving it a go right now.

not nure how i'm sending/receiving mms.... oh well, not sure....

Using the latest test version I get MMS in CDMA/EVDO mode and I get LTE but no MMS in LTE/EVDO/CDMA mode. Same as the previous version.

Just making sure:
Set it to "LTE / CDMA / EvDo" mode (should already be there)

In Access Point Names make sure LTE entry is selected. Test internet, then test MMS. See screenshot.

Set the phone to LTE/CDMA/EvDo and the correct LTE APN is selected.
LTE yes
SMS yes
MMS not able to send. Haven't tested receiving

Switch phone into CDMA/EvDo. APN1 Virgin Internet LTE still selected.
LTE no
SMS yes
MMS yes both send and receive

WiFi was off.

Retesting with Wifi on gave the same results:

Set the phone to LTE/CDMA/EvDo and the correct LTE APN is selected.
LTE yes (with wifi off)
SMS yes
MMS not able to send. Haven't tested receiving

Switch phone into CDMA/EvDo. APN1 Virgin Internet LTE still selected.
LTE no
3g yes (with wifi off)
SMS yes
MMS yes both send and receive

restoring data is gonna restore the old broken apns. you cant do a full data restore and not redo the fix after. even then there may be an issue, if it only works without restoring... well then dont restore or deal with it not working we can do much about that

Hmmm, could there be any other variables? I am using TWRP v2.6.3.0 instead of CWM, and I'm using whatever stock kernel SlimBean comes with... What else could be different? In any case I'm going to stick with SlimBean and try hell out of all it's features and just flash the fixes as they come out.

Also running the stock kernel here.

Yeap Ive tried that http://mmsc.vmobl.com in so many combos its not funny. What I have found in hours of testing:

MMS will not work without the cinet line. At least never has for me.

If "mms" is included with the n.vmu.ispsn line it would work (MMS wont LTE will). I would agree its a port/proxy/address/username/password issue.

Needle....meet haystack.

Ive tried to run logcats as well - didnt really give any usable info. When running the Force CM ROM what APN lights up? (Settings > More... > Mobile networks > Access Point Names)

After hours of Google searching I have found no one really knows the Virgin US settings. Its not posted anywhere from what I can tell - just shots in the dark like mine.

Hi have you tried "mmsc.vmobl.com:8088/mms?" All on one line? I'll get 4g and the ability to send mms but in order to receive it I always need to switch the phone to 3g only. Proxy 81 proxy port 205.239.233.136

Is that slim ROM? Also confirm with the screen right before that the setting is " LTE/CDMA/EvDo"

This is why it so frustrating. Phone connects immediately for me.

Yes, I am running slim ROM and whatever kernel comes with slim ROM. When my phone is in LTE/CDMA/EvDo I get LTE but no MMS. When in CDMA/EvDo I get MMS but no LTE. In both settings the same Virgin Internet LTE APN seems to be lit up under access point settings.
