Root [ROM][MS870][LOKI] Samurai ROM

Rom Updated ;)

Added change log to OP and cleaned up original screenshots.


  • Kernel updated for battery saving & Interactive governor set as default
  • Google keyboard updated to latest & can update automatically
  • Notification dropdown settings button moved 10 pixels to right for longer dates
  • Toucher app removed due to battery drainage
  • Bootanimation and Shutdown animation font touched up
  • System settings background changed to black
 
So when we've flashed the updated V2, in TiBu can we restore apps & data including system data without issue since it's the same rom essentially?

I'm not sure since I always start fresh. Just make a backup and then try it. You might not even have to factory reset since it's just an update, but you always have to wipe cache and dalvik cache.

Newb here, Thanks for all the hard work, it like having a new phone. How do I go about getting apps like Google Now updated?

Sadly you can't, Google now is specifically for jelly bean (and up). Some nice fellow ported it over to work with ics but that's as far as it goes. Sorry, trust me we all wish we could. However if you choose to flash cm10 rom that is running jelly bean and you can update Google now all you want however there are minor draw backs in cm10, peep the thread.
 
Hey Thanks GT finally flashed my first Android rom on an Android cell phone. I took several months and read everything I could and only did it when I was very sure about what I was doing. Everything went well and I do love everything you did to it. The bare bones stock browser is so much nicer. The dsp settings and the Apollo music player are great and sound is much better. The black backround on the text messenger is also very nice. Everything seems to be just cooler. Even the connecting the the phone to my laptop is just faster.

I just wanted to ask you if I still have to use the trickster mod to choose the interactive governor? Because you said you made it default ??

Hey Thanks :)

That is correct, you won't need the trickster app since the interactive is set as default.
 
Well technically if you wanna use a secondary sms app (i.e. go sms/handcent/ect.) you can customize your messaging app any way you want for the most part.

Hey gt anyway I can keep katanas lock screen with this ROM I personally would like to change that if it's possible
 
any chance you could divulge what was changed to make the settings screen look like that? i've been trying to change it for the motion to no avail.
 
I'm pretty sure changing it for the motion is gonna be a whole different ballpark sir, being that the framework is probably a lil different and the screen size definitely is.
