Wifi Issues? I don't see it.

I have seen a few people state they have poor wifi compared to their last phone. Others chime in stating they are not going to purchase a note 3 if there is a Wifi antenna issue.

I pulled out my old Note 2 and ran identical software measuring dbm on each device for over 30 minutes. The Wifi reception on each device is almost identical. I am not seeing this issue that others have reported.

If you are having Wifi issues, please take your phone back to the carrier and let them run a diagnostic.

See the attached side by side comparison. Notes Wifi.PNG

Also, if you respond to this thread, can you post your carrier. Just curious. Mine is Verizon.

Try moving both phones to where the signal is really weak. See if they maintain the same strength then.

Sadly, in my classroom, I'm at the bare minimum for WiFi signal. Even to the point where it needs to switch to 4g occasionally. Not loving that. My Note 2 stayed WiFi connected the entire time in my classroom. :(

Good test. I just did, running Wifi Analyzer on each device in Signal Meter mode I walked outside and down the street. The Note 3 consistently held a better signal until the Note 2 was the first device to drop the signal all together.

I can concur to this and Rukbat's post!
If the signel gets even a little weak the N3 drops the connection.
I have tested my phone side by side with my Note 2.
(By the way I have the Sprint vatiant).

Lateck,

I'm on t-mobile aand was one of the first posters here to report WiFi dropping out in the N3 Problems thread. Since then I haven't had a WiFi dropout. I'm thinking it was an Xfinity issue not a phone issue.
