Anyone good in Photoshop?

So I recently managed to get my hands on some Photoshop goodness , and it's an amazing tool...when in the hands of the right person.

I'm having trouble in trying to remove some objects of this particular image- it has lots of things behind the persons head , and that big baby holding thing. whatever that's called :P

Can anyone give guidance on what to do ?
 
so u want to get rid of the remote and pacifier and the baby holding thing (not really sure what its called ether lol) but keep the flag, blinds, and couch right?
 
Here's what I'd do. Using the polygonal lasso tool ...

I'd select the area behind her head tight to the hair but leaving plenty of room around objects (remote/pacifier). I'd then feather the selection (select>modify>feather) by 1 pixel just to soften the hair edge ... hair can be tricky.

Then I'd use the clone stamp with a soft brush to pick up adjacent tones of the upholstery to "erase" the items within the selection.

As for the baby carrier (that's what they call those things) I'd just crop it out. That much couch really isn't important to the image.

My $.02 ... keep the change ;)

Yeah, I think so. But as the post above says, I could easily crop out the sofa.
 
Another thing , I went and took lots of pictures with my JVC Camcorder (actually a 0.2MP) and then realised that everything was grainy.

Anything that can be done?

edit: for anyone reading, the mixer brush tool/ camera raw filter work great
 
I'm back :P

Any idea how (or if it's possible) to move the piece of jewelry on the head here? Just want to try and centre it/ move it slightly to the right.

Hey Meha23. Did you want the pic in the link with the swirled face updated or one without the swirled face? I got a copy of the swirled and will PM you with the result
