Just ditched windows 7 for Linux Mint. The stupid person i got my laptop from had a pirated copy of Win7 professional, causing Windows to freak and make it demand I reactivate it..

Finally got tired of it

That's the way I went. Except my pirated copy o 7 was legit activates with the Microsoft Toolkit. I just got tired of Windows in general.

Have to admit, though I do love Unix on servers, I've never felt the need for on a desktop. Windows was utter pants the first few years, but since NT - or Win2K for personal use - it has actually been fine*

* Vista and Win8 excepted ;)

This is a question for people who know Spanish (don't know hardly any Spanish at all)

So I was working the drive thru last night and there was a guy and 2 girls. Well one of the girls said something like moy caliente (think that's how it's spelled) poppy choolo (something like that)

Was she making fun of me??

Also back to Linux Mint.. The only complaint I have with Linux Mint is that there isn't a software center on Mint like there is on Ubuntu (Mint is supposed to be like Ubuntu apparently, so why software center??)

I don't mind using the Terminal to download and install things, but it can be a drag sometimes

Nope she was saying "You're so hooot daddy chulo!!" Oh and AFAIK there's no Software Center. So yeh :/ but I use apt more than Software Center.

Unfortunately, yes she was. Damned language barrier. Don't let some asshat get to you though. Unless she meant papi chulo.

Urban Dictionary: poppy chulo

Sweet lol, I'm to good looking for the world :P

What's apt? Sorry guys I'm a little rusty with Linux
Stuck with Windows for Netflix for forever, but found a work around for Netflix to work on Linux via wine. Surprisingly? It's more stable than my Netflix running on silver light

Apt as in (sudo apt get install {packagename-amd64}) I don't like using Software Center. Its really slow and I'm still roaming lol

Oh yeah lol I use to use that when Ubuntu Software Center didn't have a program. I never really had to use the apt get unless I was modding something

Back then it was either apt-get or manually installing the Debian pancake. 0_0

Nah man :p I know my Spanish cause I'm from Mexico lol in most cases Papi (What he heard) = Daddy. And Chulo (What he heard) = Hot. Like that's a term used in Mexico a lot.
