Wonder if there's a way to keep my pictures from getting cropped when I use it as a wallpaper:confused:

Every OS I use has this problem. I mean it ruins it if I use stretch. And I don't like the black void that's behind my wallpaper. Whether it be Linux, Mac, or Windows. Of course, you need a bigger screen to fit bigger pictures.

According to this article I found it says, "Unlike many other types of smart phones, Android-powered phones do not have a static wallpaper. The wallpaper is dynamic, and different sections of the image are shown depending on which of the three main screens the user is on. For this reason, it is inadvisable to simply crop an image to fit your Android-powered phone's display. Instead, it is much more useful to simply re-size the image in such a way that the available pixels exceed your smart phone's resolution."

So with your phone it's like having three monitors with dual display; the image is displayed across all three screens. With the setting "Tile", Windows displays the image in its original size. If the original size is too small for the screens, it repeats itself (that's why it's called Tile), starting the image all over again below or to the right of the first image. But If it's the right size, it fills your screens. On the other hand, if it's too big, part of it will be cropped off.

Same thing for your phone.

Wyndslash: Nova launcher allows you to crop/set a stationary wallpaper from the gallery. Of course it is going set it as your phone's rez allows. Android's scrolling wallpaper function has always made it a pain to get it looking just right if you use a hi-rez photo.

Nova is the only launcher I've found that will allow this, however there may be others out there. Beware of apps from the market that will crop and freeze wallpaper, I haven't found any that work right ;)

That's just a stereotype :)

This part of Texas gets snow every year and a blizzard every now and then. Most think of south Texas like Houston where it never snows. Texas is a big state so it's weather is about as diverse as a small country's lol :D

This is an average winter for this area of Texas.

However, in this state it may be 80 degrees Fahrenheit one week and below freezing the next.

Last winter we had a severe blizzard and six days later it felt like summer.
