Galaxy S4 Video Tips Series

Hey vgjfelix... what is the app you have running that shows in your notifications page - looks like a graph of battery drain or something. At least it's in the first few videos I have got through as yet. Coincidently I am looking for a better battery monitor app.

Great work on the videos.

Personally, I HATE auto-update for apps. Too many times updates break apps and lots of times reverting is a PITA. I manually update after reading the first few newest reviews on the app as this should tell you if it's broken or not. It saved me lots of grief with the recent transition from Talk to Hangouts. For months the online/offline feature and friends list was broken to the point I would have hated my life since I use it a lot. Fortunately they fixed what MANY users had been complaining about for months and I was finally able to upgrade. Had I had auto-update enabled it would have been a terrible inconvenience for months. There's been a few others that were broken for some time due to updates but that's the first & most recent one that comes to mind. I generally sit down to check my apps for updates when on WiFi and that was a habit I got into when I had unlimited data.

^ Same here, I disable auto-updates. Let others beta test them and if reviews are good, then I'll manually update to them. That said, with an app like Titanium Backup, one can uninstall a bad update and revert back to the previous version.

Hi vgjfelix, videos are great. I am a fairly new owner of a Samsung Galaxy S4 compared to the user manual your videos have shown me things that I did not know existed.

Thanks and kind regards
Jimmy

The app is battery widget reborn :)

I knew about all of that save for right at the end with the long press on the back button. That's awesome! You can also enable/disable in the quick toggles in the notification pull-down which is how I've been doing it but this is much easier. Thanks for sharing!

Ditto! I learned something new here also. And here's another tip
