I don't know if this has affected anyone else, but I can no longer access these codes since the 4.3 upgrade to my S4.

I wish mine worked that way. Unfortunately, when I touch the slider, the check disappears from the box and the slider becomes the brightness control. If I check the box, the brightness has its own way of figuring out how bright it should be.

I much prefer the way yours works and wonder why they vary in function.

I used LUX for a while and really liked it, but had trouble with it after upgrading from 4.2.2 to 4.3 so am back to the OEM brightness control.

Sorry guys if some tips don't work. I'm afraid I can't help the variations in the hardware throughout the world.

Turn off notifications... direct from the notification!

If you filled out your profile w/location & carrier info it would be less confusing for us when you do post a feature that we don't have.
 
That's a good suggestion in general.

I for one am just thankful that vgFelix takes the time to make and share great videos.

I did notice that option for the slider that shifts auto brightness is available under xposed wanam module (requires root)....themes menu (on my att sghi337 running 4.3 /mk2) but it didn't work well for me...I went back and disabled it.
 
Right after updating to 4.3, I had trouble with LUX and uninstalled it. I'm not particularly pleased with the stock auto brightness function so I reinstalled LUX yesterday and restored my old settings. Seems to be working well now and I like it a lot better than the stock system (after customizing it a bit, of course). ;)

Hi all... Just got an S4... does anyone know why youtube videos or other videos no play...well it plays.. has sound..which is perfect... but video does not show perfectly...it shows little and disappears and comes back again..
do help anyone...
 
Thanks for this thread just got an s4 sure this will help me out the s4 is a wonderful device one of the best devices I think samsung have made.
 
These were some great tips, even though not all of them work on my VZW SGS4. But it looks like vgjfelix hasn't posted any new SGS4 videos for almost the past 4 months. I hope he returns!
 
Just wanted to add my 2c - huge thanks to vjgfelix for the tips, very useful! I hope you return and post more interesting stuff - or have you upgraded and are now in another forum?!

My question is this: is there a way to disable the confirmation dialog when switching to airplane mode? I googled and found only posts with complaints, no answers. I suspect it's built into thr ROM so not changeable.

This is probably the second most annoying thing about my new S4, number one being the crappy camera, I was really hoping it would be better.
