Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Oh also double post, but realized I hadn't posted this here.

1. This is the difference in stock UI elements between iOS5 (non native code either) and iOS7 written in native Objective-C. Makes a huge difference.

2. This is incredible - I hit 300,000 total downloads on December 28th. Hovering around 70,000 active installs (which is not bad at 23%) but I am blown away by this number.

I'm having a hard time deciding what new phone I want to upgrade to. Despite the horrific battery life, I have loved my Nexus and the pure Android experience. I would love some feedback from you all, especially those that labored with me in the epic GNEX pre release thread.

I travel all over the US for a living, so coverage is very important to me and that is one reason I am hesitant to leave VZW. The other main reason I am hesitant to leave is I still have my unlimited data plan, and will be able to keep it by using an upgrade from my business to purchase the phone and activate on my personal line. I am considering a new carrier, but only slightly. The nationwide coverage is huge. What would some of you do, if the circumstances were the same for you?
 
Have any of you upgraded to kitkat and noticed high android OS usage in the battery stats? I noticed a decrease in battery life and a huge increase in android OS usage after upgrading on the Moto X.
 
I was right. They re-instituted the exchange ban at Best Buy. I guess they were taking it easy on people during the holiday shopping season.

I returned a $20 case for my new Crapple yesterday evening and was told to sign something stating that I acknowledged a ban on all returns/exchanges for the next 90 days.

Well at least I got my money's worth over the last 2 months with my 14 exchanges. That's for screwing me on my 32GB white Note 10.1, BB.

(And no, I don't mean you, BB. I mean the other BB!)
 
Oh yeah... giving a bunch of kids in a parking lot a Note 10.1 and trusting them to come back with it. Maybe 50 years ago, but now?

I just got home from spending all day at the hospital with the Darling Bride. She has been crying and screaming in pain for days, unable to find a comfortable position. Turns out she has arthritis in 4 vertebrae and THAT triggered a monster sciatica flare-up. It really sucks being the husband in all this, completely powerless to stop the pain. All I can do is be there for her and make her as comfortable as possible.

Oh Chief, I feel bad for you and Mrs. Chief. I'm sure the VA has spine specialists, but check out a procedure called Foraminectomy/otomy. I had it done for severe sciatica - pain from hip to the toes, numbness, pins & needles, etc. Even was starting to involuntarily turn left. It's done outpatient (!), minimal anesthesia and is like arthroscopic knee surgery. They go in and clean out the junk around the nerve and give it room to breathe. Within 48 hours I was "normal" and pain free. I really hope that she gets some relief. And you too. Good luck! Feel free to PM for details.

Me. I have and I do. KK seems to be like a straw sucking battery life. I wonder if it has to do with the new hangouts setup being on all the time?

Chief reading al your posts and reading all of your posts It's nice to what true love looks like now a days you both are in my prayers and I am praying for the best but stay strong man
