Root [Virgin Mobile] [ROM][4.4.2]CyanogenMod 11[02/14][d2vmu]

Battery calibration should be performed before relying on the reported capacity percent, if the claim is to be considered statistically significant.

Anyone know if this rom supports HDMI? I wanna make sure it's just not compatible before I return the MHL adapter[/QU OTE]

You have to buy the Mhl from Samsung our phone has extra pins that won't work with mhl adaptors made for gs2, again the mhl probably isn't comparable, our phone come with mhl compatibility out of the box but you need the (I believe ) proprietary mhl version made by Samsung for our phone which has extra pins so it works, your mhl cable probably isn't defective, just in compatible

I dont think the cable is the problem because I have 2galaxys ..one on touchwiz and the other one on cm11 I used the same cable and the cm11 doesn't work .. So I guess there something missing to make the HDMI/MHL out work.

I am still on the 1-15-2014 nightly and I just was given a notification to download the M3 via some built-in Cyanogen updater. Has anyone else received this? And, would anyone else recommend attempting to let it do its thing? LOL I think if I do, I am going to fully expect it to break something. But on the small chance someone else out there let it run and it worked, your feedback would be awesome.

If you want an app to use as stock sms, that is KitKat use 8Sms from the market. It's an actual stock application, I replaced my phones sms with it, haha. It's amazing and has quite a few features too. :) I recommend it to all of you, just saying. Handcent and gosms are garbage, their alternatives, as this is a real stock app available for download.

Don't do it. The updater will download the Sprint version and you'll receive an error message when it tries to flash it. Nothing should break, but you'll just be wasting your time. If you want to manually edit the Sprint ROM so it will work on a Virgin Mobile phone, there are tutorials in this forum explaining how to do it yourself.

I prefer to wait for ebildude123's updates, as his ROMs are already modified to work on our VM phones. I'm not sure if he'll be posting the recent Snapshot M3 version, though. So far he's only posted nightlies so we'll have to wait and see.

That is exactly what I thought would happen. Thanks for reaffirming my conclusions.

I too prefer to use ebildude123's updates.

Awesome, I just Dirty Flashed the M3. First time Dirty Flashing (Roms that is ;) ) and it went well. I did let it settle for 15 minutes before touching the device.

Has anyone yet found the option to do away with the app names on the home screen?

Should be somewhere in your launchers settings. I use Holo, so it's under desktop appearance. It should be called "hide icon labels."

Thanks, but my guess is since with M3 they are now going to work on the cosmetic User Interface it is just a feature yet to be introduced as I have looked everywhere for that. I had it on my CM9 Motorola Triumph. I figured it would just be in every release as it was already done with the older releases.

Let me start by saying that so far I LOVE this ROM. Thanks to everyone who put in the man hours on creating it and patching it over to VMUSA GS3 devices. I just wanted to comment and report a bug that I am experiencing. First here are all the details...

*Flashed using latest CWM recovery that you posted flashed CWM .zip with philz
*Did a Clean flash wiped everything.
*On the MK5 Modem

Anyway the problem I wanted to report was with the Camera app force closing or lagging sometimes, Also apps like skype / glyde dont work at all.

I love using those two apps and I'm going to retry a clean intsall of the new m3 snapshot hopefully with the new update released on the 14th it will fix these issues.

I don't use Skype so I'm unsure there but I have had no camera issues, I'd recommend as u said ur gonna do

Make sure u have latest Phil's, and remember that the latest Phil's currently has a setting that will block you from installing older Roms, can be disabled by the only allow updated binaries option I believe but this Rom should flash fine

Then be sure u have the latest version of this Roms zip

U shouldn't need the signal/LTE fix as its included or should be

Then when flashing let it settle
Do a full clean wipe and install only the ROM then boot, skip all setups, no Google, no WiFi don't set anything but wait 10-20 min just letting the phone sit
Then go back and install just the gapps and do the same setup nothing but let it sit 10-20 min
After then I personally power off to ensure everything is saved and all iinstallations are fully closed

Then after that before installing any apps and such try the camera to ensure its not another app causing the close

If all that don't help then there's deff. A issue somewhere

yeahhh hangouts actually works.

now i have camera problems :<

Mine works fine; however, I had a problem with it when running the 2/14/2014 and 2/15/2014 from Carbon Nightlies. I followed strukin's advice and downloaded Cymera and found it to be much better than the stock app.

Why do we have to use Hangouts for MMS to work? I was on Nightly build 26 and MMS worked perfect in the default messaging app, but on the latest one (2-14) it does not?

The stock app has given virgin mobile users problems on sprint ROMs since the beginning. It has worked on 3g, but on 4g, it was never able to switch to 3g, send, and then switch back to 4g. There are a few other MMS apps that do it well, but I've given up on the stock messaging app.

Hey first I wanna say I'm having the greatest time flashing all these roms for sph l710 virgin mobile but for some reason while on cm11 nightly the data has been going out a lot and I have to reboot phone. Is this just a cm11 bug or is there a fix I missed I already did the WiFi fix for mk5 and my modem is mk5....can anyone share insight

Ok so I refreshed the rom after clean wip and didn't install anytHing like I said sometimes the data just goes out fOr a couple mins but still a great Rom

I have a simple question for anybody on here. Ive read every page through this thread and have seen people who has mms and sms working on 4.4 and others who dont. Is everything working on these roms? Id like everything to work before i decide to flash it. Im currently running a rooted official 4.3 OTA and removed knox via the de-knox script. As much as i want 4.4 on my nice S3, i dont want to lose the functionality of my sms and mms. Any help with this is greatly appreciated! Im also on xda using the same username.

I have mms working using Textra. The stock messaging app doesn't work correctly with mms for some reason. Hangouts also works for mms. Other than that I have no other issues with any 4.4 rom.

I've noticed that the official CM11 Nightly is now at 02/28, but the maintainers of D2SPR (which our ROMs are based off of) haven't updated since 02/17. Should we be concerned?

CM merged all of the d2 builds into one unified build called d2lte so as of 02/18 there is no more d2spr. No, you should not be concerned. The d2lte works fine.

Are all the fixes applied to the latest ROMs and will i have to reactivate my virgin mobile service upon flashing? Another thing...though it may sound stupid...are there any 4.4 roms that still incorporate touchwiz? I personally like touchwiz and would prefer not to lose it. Ive already used titanium to back up all my virgin mobile apps so i can use them with whatever custom rom i get. Thanks again for any help. I love CM i am just a little leary as of right now with my S3. Ive run it before on my old htc hero200 and loved it. Just being precautious.
