HTC DROID Eris OS 2.1v3 download

Ok so i tried another file and same thing this time rebooted it and went back into the sd and checked the properties of it and it showed 0 bytes I did this twice now and each time it erases the Zip? any thoughts?

Delete the files that you have already downloaded off your computer and your phone. Make sure when you download it it is PB00IMG.zip I dont think it will work if you just rename it (not quite sure about that though).

i guess it is too complicated to post that in the first place then to answer someone's question when it arises??

Whenever I got the speaker problem, I reflashed and it all worked again. Haven't had that problem yet with this leak...

did you get that problem with 2.1v3 and then you reflashed? or are you referring to when it happened on 2.1v2

The issue is a dead horse and many members have been beating it off to death.

Reflashed? Do you mean restart? Because that does it too and doesn't cause you to lose all your stuff. We are talking about the speaker going out, right?

A simple restart fixes it.

The problem has been there in beta 2. I think beta 1 as well. I can't remember that far back.

Each beta is like a gray hair. You pull one out, three more arise. The speaker going out has been around for at least one beta, maybe more.

Caddy, I have a question regarding the corrections; my 2.1 v2 still had the issue once a day where an incoming call would go to missed call or voice mail; I am still getting the ol' blank when I dial someone the phone shows connected, but no sound, when someone calls me back same thing. This was the same complaint I had with the 2.1 v1 release. I have read others had the same issue in the endless 2.1 when thread. Just wondering if you knew of any fixes for this yet. I did notice with v2 all I had to do was turn the phone off once a day as opposed to v1 where I had to turn the phone off several times a day as the occurrence was more frequent. Thank you for you feedback.

hmm... lets see... i thought this was a forum where people with problems could ask others who could possibly help them fix their problem... your obviously not one of them so quit wasting my damn time

and no... he means reflashed... reflash and restart and two completely different things....

please quit flaming smacky

i just flashed with this and I have the same problem that I had on v1 and v2. The first call I made the audio went out 5 minutes into the call. That's the worst. At least when I dial I can tell when there will be no audio if I don't hear it ring in a couple of seconds. My phone would be great once this bug is fixed.

Sorry folks, I see others have spoken while I was typing about the dead horse issue; I guess what the heck good is a dead horse? If this is going to be a frequent problem, perhaps 2.1 isn't meant for the Eris? Perhaps there is a physical hardware/software issue that can not be fixed? It is annoying, It's like popping a pimple every night and waking with the dang thing back the next day. (I feel the vegetables being thrown at me)

I am seeing the continued dead speaker issue or blank calls in or out periodically. I had it bad on my phone in v1; It is much, much better in v2, but still annoying (once a day) and was wondering if the issue was still plagued with this v3? It appears to be. This is my real problem with 2.1 on the Eris phone. Didn't want to talk about it much because it's seems to be an issue with some people so I am dropping like the kids at the pool and will just wait and see what others say.

It's a forum where you don't post three times in a short span of time like a **** and then blame people for ignoring. I'm pretty sure many did because of your attitude coming in here.

I don't know how long you've been here, but the speaker dying out is a known issue. Someone verified it was in the first beta. That was in February. I simply told you there was no fix. If you thought that was rude, then you've got some issues.

No one is flaming. There is no known fix for it.

I know the difference between reflashing and restarting the phone. If you reflashed the phone everytime the speaker went out, there was an easier way around it, temporarily. Restarting the phone. If you took 30 minutes after every phone call that died to reflash your phone, you are an idiot. If you tried reflashing it once to see if it fixed it only to have it appear again and then stop reflashing it, then it's another story.

As of yet, I am the only one that even acknowledged your question. Or else people would still have been ignoring you. Be patient when waiting for replies.

Question: I am loading it right now on my wifes Eris, why is the file dated October 23, 2009? The last version was dated Feb 8, 2010.

Edit: Alright, now after I said Yes to start update it now has the Feb Date, so I guess nevermind :P

Yeah....you just gotta keep on restarting. Sucks, but...what can ya do?

Just read through...

with 1.5, has anyone had problems with the keyboard lagging and switching from letter to number/symbols?? (ie. typing "hello" and seeing "h3llo") If so, have these problems been fixed with this leak?

I'm still on 1.5 and use handcent but had this problem before handcent as well. Also does 2.1v3 fix the overall lag when opening/closing/switching apps?

Bump....

... I posted this back on page 5, now that y'all have had plenty of time to mess with v3, can anyone answer the above? Pls n thx
