Unfortunately no.

You may want to contact the app's developer and talk to them about the problem. They may be able to send you a copy, after you prove purchase obviously. I've had a couple of developers do this for me after I upgraded.

I had the same issue with a Sony car stereo - to get it to work, I deleted the stereo (paired but not connected) from the phone BT Devices list, and did a fresh pairing with the stereo like it was the very first time a device had been paired with it - starting from scratch worked - maybe the new software is just different enough to require a new pairing? Don't know, but that worked for me -

Are you sure that the last version is off the SD card?

Are you sure that you have the full file on the SD card?

The file can not have a 1 or 2 in the name it must be named PB00IMG.zip

Well, I got an Incredible for myself....and put the SD card that came with it into the Eris for Hubby (since it was only 2GB), so I know for SURE that's not the problem.

As for the full file, it was 109.9mb on my computer, and I simply dragged and dropped onto the root of the SD card...so yeah, I would ASSUME it is.

I really need this to work. LOL. It's his first time attempting a smartphone and I want him to love it.

I still have 1.5 and haven't experienced anything like that. Does it require 2.1 to find out if my phone will have the issue or would it have shown up by now?

That's probably the biggest issue causing me to hesitate. I use my phone on speaker quite a bit and don't want to lose it.
 
come on guys ithink this a problem anyone have this issue or an answer.....
really wierd before update i had tmz from market installed on phone now when i search after update and i cannt even find it so i tried other things and matching searches to my moto droid its like searches on my moto droid have more results then searches on my eris. then i tried to find tv.com and discovery channel.com app and cannt find them does anyone know why this is it seems anything with a video viewer cannt be found any sugestions?

I remember that a few people had trouble last time when they tried new or wiped SD cards. It may be missing some stuff the phone requires. I would try clearing the card, formatting it and putting the leak back on.

Common problem.

Some apps, like tv.com are protected and will not show up in the market for the Eris until after the official OTA and Verizon/HTC updates the info for the Eris in the market.

The only things you can do right now are wait or try to contact the developer to have them unlock it in the forum or send you a copy.

Some are having this problem in 1.5 as well it seems. You may want to head over the the thread about it (Nestor posted the link) and read up on it.

In the end, if you have reservations about putting this on your phone, don't.
 
well after installing the update, i must say that i am completely satisfy with it. The updates has corrected alot of the bugs that 1.5 had and has even added alot more - like people search(contact search) . The 2.1 interface is clear and crisp - no lag. i can make calls, receive them, i can hear them and they can hear me. i only problem and its really not a problem is that i have to reorgainize my screens back. no biggie.

thanks caddyman and everyone on this forum. i have only been here for a couple days now but i wont be leaving soon.

You can search around the web for the apps. Sometimes people are able to find them. You could also ask someone with root to back up the apps for you as well, assuming they are all free apps obviously, and you could install them off your SD card.

BTW, if you find tv.com let me know. I miss it. :(

Ya I know, it only happens intermittently and not enough to cuss about...kinda hanging around to see all my options including trading it in for any Eris with 2.1.

We'll see...

I'm trying to find a replicable way of triggering it, because it just seems completely random right now. If we can replicate it reliably, then someone might have a shot at fixing it, or we might be able to avoid triggering it in the first place.

Wow, you guys are the best guinea pigs EVARRR!!!!1! All this feedback has got to be a goldmine for the testers.

I'm very happy this leak came out, it's a great step in the in the right direction. Honestly though, like almost everyone else still on 1.5, I'm very wary of this "silent call" issue. Can anyone confirm that it has cropped up only after installing the leak? Any others NOT have it (yet)? I may just go with it anyways... I literally use about 30-50 minutes a month, so it wouldn't be too big of a deal for me!
