Exactly! M8 and S5 doesn't interest me whatsoever. Its the year of the underdogs. OnePlus, Moto, and the G3 are on my list.

I'm a no go on Moto. Haven't owned one since the original Moto Razr. 
I've lost my love for Samsung not that I really ever had much. I do like HTC devices though, especially when s-off is in the cards which it is with the M8. So kinda got a little drool going on that one. Problem is I'm not ready to upgrade yet. A few months from now? Yeah that might be about right to get max $$ still for the G2 while moving on to what I think will be the best phone of 2014 very likely.
I suppose once we see the true specs of this thing, that'll be the moment of truth.

Would love it if that mockup were close. That'd be remarkable if the bezel really is that small all around. I'd be concerned only about the power button. Looks like it'd be even harder to access than the current one. Hope they tinker with that to make them more separated.

Yeah I changed the rumored specs in the OP to 2-3 GB the other day. Starting to see quite a bit of split decision on that.

If G3 comes with 2Gb RAM, SD801 processor as recent rumors suggest, instead of 3Gb/SD805, I think that massive 2K screen would be more taxing on it. that would hinder graphic performance down below M8, S5 level.

so it is going to be the regular Lexus instead of the promised Mazerati?
I guess I'll get myself Sony Z Ultra for now (~$430 on ebay).
And then evaluate G3 when it is released.
If that's what I want, I'll sell Z Ultra.
