FWIW,T-MO had the FLEX data w/an SD Card on their website from Day One of pre-orders,despite no one on this planet had it,not even Korea.

Only soon after the actual release did the SD Card slot disappear. ;)

I just chalked that up to a copy & paste from another phones similar specs,Best Buy does it all the time.

Soooooo,we could all be in for a surprise, until someone does a thorough review of each carrier model.

The SD card will be real for everyone.

Also, the 2/16 Sprint I've only seen associated with the gold vanity model.

How could Sprint afford both models?

I bet the gold one is going to Sprint and the rest of the 2/16s are going Boost and Virgin Mobile.

The only premium models they could get when the blockade lifted were the top Samsungs and I know from their release threads that they have a lot of customers grateful for a better phone.

The 2/16 is the affordable model for the Sprint MNVOs and they'll offer it as a vanity model to give it street cred.

All others get the 3/32, there are no monsters under Verizon's bed or anyone else. This isn't Samsung. It's LG.

All will have the SD card to keep production, software, and support standardized and less costly.

I think that you just read it here first.

Just had to share how my love and addiction for this forum and Android got started and how it has trickled into noticing a definitive trend with all the premium flagship smartphones

1st - Speculation, research, discussion starts about an upcoming smartphone.

2nd - Phone is formally announced with some extra time (between immediate and 1.5 months) to research, speculate and discuss carrier variants and potential release and price.

3rd - Phone release, specs and price are confirmed for the different variants, causing more discussion, including letdown from some with a bit of relief from others.

4th - Phone is formally released and people start to share deals on the phone and different accessories, as well as tips and tricks. Still basking in the glow of their shiny new toy, while those who were disappointed in the phone move on or start griping about what the phone doesn't have.

5th - 1 month passes and more new threads are created in the vein of "this phone sucks... I regret my purchase."

6th - Multiple threads started, asking a simple question thatbhas been addressed 10 million times, yet people are still expecting instant gratification answers and info.

7th - Owners and lovers of the phone settle in and start to find the niche that works for their needs. Complainers and disappointed former interested parties start threads stating why they didn't get the phone and why the phone they ended up getting is better, with addicts of that phone getting defensive.

8th - Issues are reported and people start wondering what phone they will get next or just look for info on how to improve their customizations.

So great and I can't wait to see the trend continue... LOL

I suggest this cycle is due to people treating a device as a surrogate proxy of life itself. It is a vehicle of attempting to cope with reality by asserting perspective on the device. Perhaps the overall process is therapeutic without knowing as such.

Oh yeah, when are the carriers going to fess up: 2/16 and or 3/32? :) ;) ?

rushmore,

Tell us again about evil Verizon being 2/16 only, will you?:D

That theory makes the most sense. Get on it blogs. :)

Wife asked what I wanted for Father's Day. I stroked my non existing beard while gazing upward as though in deep thought. (was thinking G3, hoping they give release date). I told her I'd have the think on it some more.

We need to get this train moving people or I'm going to miss the Father's Day window of opportunity. :D

Tell her that you want $750 cash from the family budget.

This way you will have plenty of options :D

What do they charge you for roaming? I checked their plans, Mine would cost the same as Sprint, but T-Mobile says in theirs, "while on our network" for the unlimited stuff.

Well. Im in a family plan with jump service. For 3 lines of 2 g2s and a iPhone 5s with insurance + jump, payment plan and everything unlimited including data, the account holder pays 205.

5 lines, two lines (Nexus 5 + Z Ultra) w/data, 1000 minutes/mo shared, free t-mo to t-mo calls, free long distance, + 1 data line w/Galaxy 3 7 1.2 GB/mo anywhere in the world, JUMP, $111/mo :D

And that includes $8.33/mo for the Galaxy, I paid $28 upfront, the rest is divided for 24 monthly payments, in 2015 they will start to charge me $10/mo for the data. But it is great to have Internet anywhere in the world when I travel.

I have a corporate discount though.

From the T-Mobile page, "While on our network."

I get the same on Sprint but with unlimited roaming, for the same price, $80/month.

And I get a subsidized phone for that rate. No jump, no retail expenses.

And soon Sprint and T-Mobile will be the same anyway.

Pretty sure iowabowtech already said he needs Verizon for coverage though.

Edit - plus I get the option for either 3/32 or 2/16, while everyone else is stuck with 3/32. Anyway, I was just curious if I'd read the fine print properly. Still waiting for the HTC, just here to help with the therapy. :D

Tired of spending most of my time overseas, so I stopped. :p

Do you think they will merge and it will be allowed? Hope not

yeah, quite possible. T-Mobile merger with Sprint inches closer with parent companies agreeing on a sale

If John Legere will be a CEO of the combined company, that will be fine I guess :D
