Lag? Mine hasnt had any lag. In fact, that even came up in conversation with the me, the BB rep, and some random stranger.i went into BB to play with the device, and no, it didn't have 1.6... but, i do have to say that it had TONS of lag. very disappointed.

Dramatic much?Apple - In charge of the entire phone OS - gets updated all the time
Palm - In charge of the entire Phone OS - gets updated all the time
HTC - Not in charge of the entire Phone OS - who knows if it'll ever get updated, esp if Sprint has anything to do with it.
Typical...
Buying into an open source platform probably wasn't a good move then, was it dcdttu?![]()

Phones are bought for 2 year contracts. They should be supported for that entire time, including updates to their OS's.![]()
Dramatic much?
HTC Might not be in charge of the OS, but that doesnt mean they dont have work to do in regards to applying Sense, and making sure the Sprint apps will also be in and working.
Things tend to break with new updates, which means things also need to be fixed, which usually means they need time to locate the issues and fix them.
I've not heard one thing to indicate that the Hero, the Moment, or any Sprint droid wasnt going to get updates. They might not be as fast as YOU like, but Im okay with waiting so they can make sure everything is in working order.
Remind me again, how many years has the Hero been on the market....?

The CDMA Hero (requiring parts of 1.6 to even run) has been on the market since Oct 11th.
The original HTC Hero, a 'tad' longer.
It's odd that a CDMA phone that requires 1.6 to even run technically wouldn't have 1.6 on it. They literally spliced the CDMA parts out of 1.6 and put them in 1.5. I guess they wanted to release their Hero before 1.6 came out.
Personally, I will be happy if 2.0 gets put on it when it comes out.![]()
Are you certain that HTC got the CDMA support from Google and 1.6, or did they write the support for it themselves?
I dont think you have to worry about 2.0 coming. Just worry about the when part.
