Buying glass screen protector

clipcity

Newbie
Im looking to buy a glass protector for my note 3, leaning towards spigen tr or mime feather but cant find any sellers on amazon or ebay. I dont want to buy from thr website or their amazon or ebay pages. Im looking for a third party private seller but cant find any listings. Why arent there more sellers for the note 3 as there are with other phones?

Search for "0.35mm Thin Tempered Glass Screen Protector Case for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005" on EBAY

(first post, no link allowed...sorry)

I bought this item 5 months ago, very good indeed!
Bought a couple in case off braking when mounting :-)
There are numerous videos on youtube that show you how to mount these tempered glass screen protectors..
Hope this help :-)

The Note 3, although somewhat popular, just isn't a good money maker for certain companies to go in on in terms of accessories.

A lot of companies just don't see the profit margin being big enough considering are phone isn't HUGE compared to other Android devices.

I bought a cheaper ($7) ultra thin tempered glass from ebay months ago, and it's been holding up like a champ! I even had my first drop, on screen side, the other week and it protected it just fine.

Ive seen those on ebay but have been skeptical since its so cheap. For yours have any bubbles formed and is it easy to use with the s pen?

Here's a pic:

No bubbles at all (although, the pics from my Note 8 don't really do this justice), but I did notice a few very minor scratches (but nothing to worry about or noticeable unless you're looking for them). Hopefully, the pic I took with my Note 8 gives you a decent idea of how strong this inexpensive ebay purchase has held up.

so i found one for the for the note 3 from boxwave.

what do you guys think about it. or are there better ones? I know its pricey than the ones you have said.

I got my Spigen from Amazon.

otao tempered glass screen protector is quietly high quality in protecting your mobile phone screen display perfectly even cracking, dropping but still let you have the sensitive touching experience. Besides, it can prevent your phone from oil and fingerprint.

That seems slightly on the pricey side if you ask me. I really wouldn't want to spend that much on screen protectors :(
It was. But these aren't cheap phones either. I can't speak to any other tempered glass screen protectors as I haven't tried them, but I am happy with the two Spigens I've bought so far. I'm sure there are less expensive alternatives out there. Couldn't ever use a plastic protector again.

Yeah I never really thought of dropping a lot on a Glass Screen Protector, who knows maybe I will at some point, but with all the hassle I have at putting the cheap ones on I don't even want to risk ruining one haha :o

My pic above should show enough for the inexpensive ones to hold just as much use as the expensive name brand tempered glass.

To each their own :)

Except that the Note 3's are out of stock.

Yeah, I noticed that right away, after I had ordered the G3 glass protector. I already had for my Note 3, so I didn't check right away. Wish I would've seen it earlier, to notify everyone that had been holding out on buying.

I have the vzw model. Glass is thick and too slippery for my taste. I don't recommend it unless you like slippery

The ones that come with the device?

Those were pretty good for me, I am still using those and they seemed to have pretty decent build quality and work well for me :)

Curious, why do you not like the glass getting slippery? I'm guess you don't use swiftkey flow or swype?

Haha I am so glad you mentioned those types of keyboards, because they are primarily the reason why I love the slippery screen.

It could also make it more of a dropping hazard to have a slippery screen for some people. I know especially without a case, since the back isn't the best when it comes to grip, and if you have a slippery screen, could cause some drops.

Right there with you. The tempered glass screens has made me extremely happy because it's almost smoother than the direct glass and I use swiftkey flow all the time.

I figured it had something to do with potential for dropping, but I guess I never thought of the screen being an issue, since I typically would hold my phone around the edges, when just carrying (and not using it)...or grip it tightly enough, until I put it in my pocket.

I am always extremely careful with my devices, even when drinking (which surprises me sometimes haha), but I rarely drop them and even if I do it's usually just onto my face when I am laying on the bed with it above me ;)

LOL...me too, DC. I'm pretty OCD about my devices, which is why I never was a big fan of big cases. The tempered glass protectors have given me an extra ounce of comfort, while not losing the feel of regular glass (as compared to some of the spongy/sticky screen protectors).

You're right. I use SwiftKey but type each letter. Slippery might be perfect for swype but it causes me to slip off the key I hit sometimes. I was just surprised that it is more slippery than the native screen. I thought glass is glass. The vzw glass screen protector is also more reflective than native so it is harder to use in daylight

It says fingerprint resistant on box. It isn't.

I don't think it is more likely that I would drop phone. I don't hold phone by gripping screen. Nobody does.
