Battery Life...

I am really amazed with the manufacturing of the battery, not only is it rated at or around 3000mAh but it's also a 3.8v vs 3.7v which actually makes the life really last longer. I am really intrigued with the battery itself, LG did an amazing job with the manufacturing and of course the phone itself is amazing. I have 110 apps installed on my device and a lot are running in the background but with the right battery management apps, it lasts me an entire day of heavy use and lasts longer with very to lil use. It also takes a lot less to fully charge it as well, amazing. This device has me severely excited to the point I literally lose sleep cause I just can't stop playin with it.

What a wonderful upgrade and no regrets, I don't ever root my devices but I will be patiently waiting for some firmware/LG Software updates in the near future.

A fully charged lithium ion battery sits at about 4.1 or 4.2 Volts. The nominal voltage is 3.7 or 3.8 Volts. LG didn't invent anything but a different way of advertising. My Note 3 (also rated 3.8 Volts), 3200mAh, with 218 apps installed, no battery management apps, easily lasts an entire day.

I am aware that they didn't invent the battery but that doesn't mean they didn't invest in a well manufactured lithium ion battery.

Yes this Phone is phenomenal on battery life on LG's Part 100 percent agreed bootlegger. I had the optimus F7 for like 2 months brought it back to Best Buy because of the problem with GPS locking in on that phone they had no problems with switching the phone out. Of coarse i had purchased the 50 dollar insurance deal with them thats why i had no problems returning the phone and getting this one so glad i made the switch . Very pleased the F7 was still waiting on the kitkat os and didnt have nearly the stuff that this phone has especially with the battery life.

What's yalls cell stand by percentage at? This is my biggest battery drain and just wondering how everyone's is compared to my 50+ %

I'm loving the battery life. It was great out of the box. Lasted better than any of my old phones did with aftermarket 2800-3400mah batteries.
After root and removing bloat is even better.

Just thought I would post this battery life for people still on the fence. It's amazing!

This is my favorite android device to date...battery life is extremely important to me...be it idling-light-moderate-heavy usage, this device lasts me an entire day and longer on a full charge!

I am in love!

Anybody else getting this high a percentage? If not, have you updated prl at all?? I did update it a couple of times, starting to wonder if that was a mistake

This is normal for me. Wifi at home with almost no battery drain when connected plus I get lte like all over Cleveland... Except at work. I work in a 16 floor building with no wifi and I only get 3g inside. uploadfromtaptalk1403217403229.jpgAlso you can see I've been using it a lot today.

When you have data on, especially 4G data, and you have weak or no signal, the phone uses a ton of battery. Whenever you have bad signal, it's best to turn off data or connect to wifi.

think the cell standby means the radio signal, cuz percentage didn't decrease any with data off. I did a factory reset and I think that helped, just got back from camping, so tomorrow will be the real test

Don't worry about the percentage. Trust me, having 4G on when you have a weak signal will eat up battery.

I have to admit it, the LG Volt is superior when it comes to Battery Longevity!
It is very good.

my S2 was lucky to get 12 hours of light to super light use on a charge.

most every phone I've had I've had extended batteries for and was still lucky to get 16 hours max from them.

My wife's Volt is showing similar numbers, before and after i did the prl and it did change from 33030 to33031
Her speeds kicked up from 21-24Mbps d to a high of 28.

We have a S3, desire,f3 none have shown the time w/o signal , is it a tri band thing ? Is it just a bug like on the old opt V ?
Her battery life hasnt really suffered oddly enough
Hopefully some answers pop up
Peace

Hey bud any luck with that reset after camping?
My wife contacted vm and they said they are unaware of any issue, and they will pass it up the line (not holding my breath) its weird her bars are full, data is good
I installed a few diff apps to see if she was losing signal and they show no drop outs
I put open signal on it shows data excellent , but no voice bars at all, but if you call the phone bam full bars , once you hang up the app shows no voice bars again.
Her battery life has been good and she uses it heavily.
I gotta think its a glitch and not many people are reporting anything online so info is scarce
so just curious how you made out
thanks

Sorry been trying different things, think it might be my area.... I went out and bought another volt from best buy knowing I could return it, activated it and with in a days use the cell stand by was the in the high 70s, that's on a completely stock phone, so I figured it's not the phone, I did a factory reset on my rooted volt and I've been installing apps carefully looking for drainage, I've noticed that if I turn data off until I need it my battery lasts longer, haven't had any issues with service, no missed anything's
