Root [TMobile] Return to Tmobile Stock Rom from Metropcs Stock Rom

NexusX

Newbie
i need to send in my tmobile lg f6 for repair because there's alot of dust collecting under the lens of my front-face camera as a result of a manufacturing defect. before i do i need to factory reset my phone back to tmobile stock.

I am having troubles trying to return my phone to stock because I had to flash a stock metropcs rom to my tmobile phone in order to run GameTheory's xperion rom and his freedom kernel.

I followed all the directions in Game Theory's website to factory reset my phone but I can only factory reset my phone back to the metropcs stock.

I know there are alot of threads that have instructions on how to return the phone back to stock. but I am not sure which one to follow and I don't want to risk breaking my device. Would someone please point me to the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

The guide on my site is using "MS50012b_00.kdz" which is metro pcs f6 firmware. Use my guide, but instead use the t-mobile f6 firmware from the next link...

D50010b_01.kdz

Hi, I have a MetroPCS Optimus F6 and I want to flash it to T-mobile ROM. I followed your instructions to a tee but it didn't work. My phone was in download mode and the screen never changed (I eventually had to pull the battery). When I chose the D50010b_01.kdz and clicked Launch software update, I noticed it said "fail" a lot in the log.

My current firmware is MS50010i. My phone is unlocked but not rooted.

Do I need enable usb debugging or something? Thanks in advance

I want to do exactly the opposite. I have metropcs and I have 12b. Can I flash T-mobile 10i stock on my metropcs f6?

What I want to accomplish are as follows:
1. flash t-mobile stock 10i unto metropcs (currently on 12b, not rooted)
2. root and then custom recovery
3. flash xperion ROM T_mobile version.

I do not want to trigger any warranty void count if there is any. I have worked with mostly Samsung and Asus so I have no idea how LG works. This is my first LG so please be easy on me.

Did you root and have a custom ROM on the device or was you coming from a carrier ROM if not you need to root to perform this task

A lot of people have been having that error, but noone has a real solution to this. It has something to do with Windows. In the past when I had this error I updated the windows .net framework then rebooted my PC and reinstalled the LG tools/drivers and everything worked after that.

I finally got it to work on a Windows 8 computer. Windows xp and windows 7 gave me those errors but Windows 8 went smoothly. Thanks for the tip

so....all this works great. i have updated to t-mobile on 3 devices and everything is good. on one device though. the rear camera no longer works after updating to tmobile. any ideas how to get the rear camera working again. if i flash back to metro, the camera works. but going on the tmobile flash, it doesn't, only the front camera.

thanks
