Root simplicity rom wifi tethering problem help please

well I flashed the rom with philz advance touch recovery and I installed the kitkat theme then I wiped data and cache the rom looks so awesome chevanlol I might donate later this week thanks but the only reason I downloaded it was so I could wifi tethe and it wont let me. when I click the portable wifi hotspot that comes with the rom so I can choose my setings it says network error unable to connect to data network you may not be subscribed to data plan for hotspot and usb tether service. please contact your phone company. help me I really want to tether . does dis not work with the kit kat theme or what. if you can help me chevanlol I will donate for abeer :) thanks:D
 
First follow these instructions

Go to Settings->System Updates and select Update PRL and then when that's done select Update Profile as well. When its done reboot your phone and 3G/4G should be working again.

Then disable Wifi and enable data and make sure you have 3G/4G icon in your statusbar. After that follow this and tethering should work.


Open Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot app and set your desired settings. Next open the Wireless Tether App and tap on the big green Wi-Fi icon, after that you can connect any wireless device to your phone.

I updated pro and then profile the rebooted my 3g was working and I opened the hotspot app but it gives me the same error code the WiFi is off so idk what it is I really want WiFi tether please chevanlol I need it for mi iPod and ps3 I did everything you did .. Do you think it will work if I use simplicity with the stock android look ! I did everything

Highly doubt it will work, go to your dailer and type ##72784#, it will reboot and reactivate the phone automatically. When its done with all that, go to settings, apps and find the two tethering apps. wipe the data on both apps and then launch the portable wifi settings app first and set the settings you'd like then open wireless tethering and tap on the wifi icon.
 
That did not work what if I do a factory hard reset like turn off my phone and hold volume up and power key will that work . if not then IMA return to stock or return to zv4 even tho I have zv5

lol you werent suppose to call the number, it should have auto shutdown after you entered the last pound key. did that happen or no? if not yeah wipe data would be the last step.
 
I started having the same exact problem. There is one thing I know. If you use the pdanet usb tether it will also send a wifi tether somehow. I use to be able to tether no problem but for the past few weeks no luck. But the usb tether worked although that was years ago when I did that.
