Root Can someone help me root!!??

I am trying to root me phone without a computer since I don't have admin privs and can't install anything on the computer. I went to YouTube and looked it up and came up with a bunch of promising results unfortunately out of the 10 that I tried none of them worked. My question is, is it possible to root me phone without a computer, or is my phone and Android version too old or something. I have a Samsung SPH-M930, running Gingerbread.FG11 v2.3.6. Can someone please help me with this?

I tried it but unfortjn ately it didn't work, as temp or permanant root, I really have no idea why nothing is working.Thanks anyway I appreciate it.

Try finding a root solutin using a pc runing lynux and using the ubuntu cd. If you can boot from cd on that machine (either by default or by pressing a function key [specific function key will show when bios splash screen shows]).

You can also create windows boot dvds with windows xp but it is mor difficult than ubuntu.

You can run the ubuntu install disk like an os without installing the os.

Poof, admin privleges.

try framaroot, if that doesnt work your last option is to root with odin.

I already tried Framaroot, and it didn't work either. How do I root with odin?

You're probably going to be stuck needing a computer to root this picky ass phone. The easiest way to do so is to Odin CWM recovery, boot into recovery, then flash the tu_root zip. Here is a guide:

Both require a PC though.
Unless you have already tried the Z4Root APK to see if it will root the TU 2.3.6 without a PC.
