Is there any simple way to root the alpha build? Even if it goes away as soon as it reboots all I need is once and I can use titanium backup to copy all the apps.

towelroot is as simple as its gonna get lol ust download and install the apk and click make it ra1n, no need for reboot
you might need to download super user from playstore

Well buddy how do I do that if my TV was never there in the first place... I thought you were talking about the setup for the app in general so calm down...
On another note, I downloaded apollo moved to system/app gave it correct permissions reboot then flashed DSP manager it worked for a awhile and then BOOM kernel crash is there a reason? I was running slacker radio when it crashed

i did this and nothing tried to restore and said data error couldnt mount home button woudlnt work have to go back n reflash back to i
 
Can you please remove the home screen tab in the settings? Since the home launcher is removed all it does is crash so it's useless. Thanks a lot and it's awesome KitKat with all hardware working. :D Just what I needed using this as a daily driver.
 
Is there a way to have the 4.1.2 QRemote? Or add the codes to this one? None of the codes work on my computer anynote
 
why is it so hard to implement wifi call ? : ( i tried to find an app that uses your provider number but none work i tired to use google voice to text , couldnt get it to work so wifi call is very impt when u cant get signal and on wifi

Because like you said that there wasn't an app that uses your provider number, WiFi calling Is built into the framework the European version doesn't have it and I doubt the 4.1.2 version would work on kitkat since they're different.
 
so i guess we have to wait for it to be release in us version if they ev er do bleh gonna have to stay on 4.1.2 till then but ill still mess around with 4.4.2/.4
 
Tried that and it didnt work. There is no wifi or data on the alpha. Tried 2 different versions of towelroot and neither one worked. Towelroot v3 requires internet
 
Anyone else having trouble installing AdAway? Odd, the only app that won't even install for me. @Maine_Coon, have you figured out ISIS work around, yet?
 
I noticed there is no calculator or clock app. Not a big problem can easily install CM version even from the PlayStore. But I think that's something that should come with the ROM. Thanks again.
