Root [MetroPCS] [ROM] KitKat 4.4.2 NEW BETA 4

LTE works fine on my T-Mo F6, doesn't say LTE, just 4G.
24 Mbps download, 3.35 upload, the same as my G3.
You're right it works, but it can easily be turned off with no way to turn it back on. At some point a permanent fix is going to have to be implemented, until then do not change data type.

I have a couple ideas and a couple questions.

After reading some other peoples posts I'm inclined to agree that keeping the rom debloated and including google/aosp apps would probably keep the most people happy. I suggested earlier a version that wasnt debloated but now im thinking maybe you could post a separate zip of all the stock apps, themes, and fonts you removed from this rom.

Also I got my first taste of Xposed Installer and GravityBox when i flashed GameTheory's Xperion rom and once I figured out how to use them(thanks to youtube) I fell in love with them. I think that they would make great additions to this rom if you include them as user apps which can be easily uninstalled by people who dont want to use them. Complete Action Plus and Physical Button Music Control are two other xposed modules you could include as user apps. Titanium backup would be another great addition and if its a user app people who dont want it can just press uninstall.

Now my question is if I download the dump you posted can i just extract all the stock apps from that and copy the apk files to my sd card and install with a file manager?

One last thing, I love that you put the cm11 file manager in this rom I quickly fell in love with it after flashing your port of cm11 a couple days ago. Root Explorer was my favorite file manager before but now I wish cm11 file manager had been available for f6 sooner so I could have saved the 4 bucks i spent on it(root explorer)!

With all that said I love the work you are doing for the f6. You rock!

If anyone agrees with my suggestions you can vote by liking my post(if you want to)

down load the alpha build it has the apks de-odexed

had to de-odex on the alpha to be able to fit everything on the sysem partition

on this new beta, since I removed so much, I was able to keep most of the stuff odexed

you may be able to take a de-odexed apk and install it from sd card

now the big dump file that had everything, those apks are still odexed, and you would have to de-odex them before you could install from SD

does that make sense ?

How do i get back to recovery in this ROM

hmm good point

I guess for now you can install F6 utils and select the option to reboot recovery

I Will have to add some power menu options for recovery in the future

F6 utilities doesnt work it will let me hit reboot to recovery all day it does nothing

unplug battery
plug battery back in
hold volume down + power
press power button when you get the factory reset message

it should boot into recovery

you have to format the data partition now for it to be usable

Maybe Ive missed something but when I downloaded the alpha build I lost root. The only way I know to take system apps from one rom to another is to install the rom then do a titanium backup then restore the apps i want after switching back to the rom i want to install them on, or use a root file manager to copy the apk files from system/app folder.
How would i go about taking the apps i want from the aplha build?

[Edit] Can I download the alpha build on my desktop and use windows explorer to extract the apk files I want to keep?

Open zip in 7-zip or similar. Extract whichever files you want. Move to /system/app on phone. Review permissions if necessary.

Another good app for booting into recovery is Recovery Reboot by GameTheory. It has always worked for me and it uses less than 30kB of storage space.

im gonna see about modding the power menu and adding the option for reboot to recovery

um, i got a software update

My dumbass over looked quick remote is there any way to add brand cause its weird its got brands I never heard off but no vizio

I got to admit that I really do no not mess with making a themed ROM, you know with custom art, animation, sounds, launchers, and stuff like that

I usually just put out a base stock rom which others will use to make a themed ROM

I think I want to try it out, but I am not the artistic creative type of person, I a warped logic type of person.

So why dont you guys / gals tell me what you would like to see in the ROM besides stuff being fixed

Like what Launcher do you like, what other apps

Do NOT suggest that I put any paid apps in my ROM only free apps

What apps did I take out that you want back in

I would like to keep this thing de-bloated, and running smoothe

All suggestions and recommendations are welcome, and will be considered

No whining or complaints

If you choose not to use this rom because it it has an issue or lack a feature, you dont need to post about it here, just do it, because to me that sounds like whining

Funny you should say that...

(Still working on it.. it loads and then at the homescreen, it reboots....)
