Low on Space - "Phone storage space is getting low"

Raindeux

Lurker
I have that notification on my phone but I have 449MB of free space and I'm only using 299MB. I am using the first Droid Incrediblebut I couldn't find the forum for that one. I searched through threads about this issue that were already posted here but they all seem to be from people who actually do have low storage space and just don't know why. But I don't have low storage space, it just says I do. :(

Anyone know what i can try to do to fix it?

Welcome and sorry to hear that! Have you tried clearing out SMS, just on browser? Uninstalling apps you don't use? Can you disable any apps? Also pics are they saved to a card?

this thread has all the info about other users that experienced your pain:

but basically apps these days are a lot bigger than when the phone came out and you will find it difficult to download any more than 20-30 apps without getting that error

This error was definitely frustrating. If u look in settings under storage you will see the phone only has 150mb for applications cache. I've read about a fix to increase the size but never did get it working, all I can say is move as many apps to sd card as possible and clear app caches regularly....

Is that really the only problem, the fact that apps take up more space now? I always figured it was some kind of bug. For the last year I've just been occasionally reflashing in order to solve the 'low on storage space' warning.
