Root [GUIDE] Unbrick OR Unroot LG Motion 4G [KDZ]

Here's the thread with DL's, links and the entire guide on how to unbrick your phone, which is flashing it with an LG program with the original firmware. If for any reason the DL's aren't working anymore, I could make them available as I still have them on my PC from last year, provided I'm not breaking any forum rules by doing so???

HAD TO SWITCH TO A DESK TOP BUT ONCE I CLICK LAUNCH APPLICATION IT SAYS EXTRACTION FILE ERROR AND FINISHES, WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP? DL everything again and try it again??

Ok, problem I had which I think is the same is when it tries to extract/convert file to a kdz or from kdz, it's been a while, but I remember the issues I had. Download the file that's already been converted and then run it. That's what I had to do. Basically, I had 0% success with the conversion program. Had to DL the already converted file and then run it in the LG program
 
Hello, I keep getting Morning call cannot be verified Security error. I tried the hard reset via power and volume down button and this method twice. I keep getting errors unpacking the kdz file. First I downloaded f firmware kdz from OUDHS and then from the torrent Download firmware f and encrypted it to kdz. When I go to flash it, it has errors unpacking the kdz. The torrent download went slightly further. Any suggestions? Alright guys i am having a problem... I rooted my phone then used the playfulgod cm10 rom and just didnt like it so i did a factory reset because the recovery menu wouldnt work so then it wouldnt boot at all. Then i tried this to see if it would work and the software update stopped at "07:00:46 : 3GQCT : wParam = 2001, lParam = 1" and the phone is just boot looping help please
 
ok please help, do u down load to the pc and it all magically fixes the phone if its connected right? you folks have vast and mighty brains, forget that im 43 and spell it out for me. i love this rooting stuff and am learning but you guys skip steps big time. my lg motions is a brick right now and it sucks. yes im learning lots from this FU of mine and am almost happy it happened, but i really want my hulu back now ;} I used a mod from jrummy? to move apps to my sd card and when i rebooted... everything was gone. it seems to still be on the system but the app icons are all gone and nothing i do gets them back, even the middle button on the phone is not doing anything anymore besides vibrate. no dial, no contacts, no nothing reall but metro web browser and a few others. ive limited computer right now, but my google voice for calls/txt is 7546009605 or mhayos2002@yahoo.com if anyone can help. thank you so much. i cant get a nother new unit anymore and dont really like the new cells anyways. -mark, lost in the brick- "[XXX]"
 
it finally ran and restored me to ver. g, but I still have no dialing program, texting , typing, phone, anything just about. can anyone tell me what to do? oh, playstore and google play services wont work as well



ok, I rerun it but with ver.c and now it is all back but a keyboard. thank you all for sharing your knowledge with us noobs. unly thig I don't get is why im only showing .19 of a gig used by the operating system (total space 5.59, avab space 5.40) seams odd.

Hi I know this is an old post, but I really need help. I have an LG motion 4g and I rooted my phone. It died then all of a sudden when the LG sign appears it says "Morningcall cannot be verified". I tried following these instructions, but I'm on a Macbook so I can't open the Exe. files. Is there any way of fixing this? Pls help me out. I don't want to get another phone.

Also I know nothing about firmware or how to even get it on my phone lol. When I connect my phone to my computer it doesn't read it so I'm lost

You will have to borrow a friend's PC. There's no way to get it to work on the Mac Operating System.
 
I rooted my LG-P870, it worked perfect! Then I guess deleting the play movies causes a security issues. When I tried to reboot I get "security error"
I have tried to reset it many times, I can get to emergency mode. So I found this thread and tried it about 4 times no luck. This is the log I get:

I really need my phone working, I am a freelancer and that is my lifeline to work!

The lg escape is not the motion, ill see if I can find some debrick for yah
 
I have the correct firmware for the Escape, and I have tried several usb drivers that were supposed to be for it also. But it still will not recognize the phone being connected.

Thank you so much for searching! I am so lost, and I am dying without my phone! lol

Did you ever get it into the emergency mode it has to get into it to work make sure the flash tool is set for emergency mode as well
 
im trying to return to stock but can cause the program cant find my phone. i've installed all the driver and tried it on different ports. and yes i was in e mode. is it cause i'm using windows 8.1 64bit??
 
so after so many tries i decided to do it on my sister desktop (which was running the same os as my laptop, windows 8.1 64bit) and i did the exact thing i did on my laptop and it worked i have stock again. idk why i couldn't make it work on my laptop thought lol. now i just want to know if its posible to root on firmware g lol

Yep... All firmware versions are rootable, including version G
 
Hello all.....

I've used this process SEVERAL times over the last year and a half I've had my LG Motion.... bricked it a few times flashing ROMS, deleting protected apps, etc.... (typical "user error" errors)...

Yesterday..... Super SU gave me a notification that I needed to update my binaries. So..... I clicked to confirm. WHAH!?!?!? Reflashed me back to stock, deleted all my apps, and the worst part..... HOME BUTTON NO LONGER WORKS!!! Lock screen.... GONE.

BAck to flashing the firmware again, Anyone else seen this issue with Super SU?

When you update the su binaries, you were supposed to choose normal, not TWRP/CWM.
