After reading all of the threads I still can't gather if someone has got CWM to work with the LG L70 ms323 metro PCS phone. If so could you please direct me to the thread.

I used Sammyz Multitool to unlock the bootloader it also installed CWM when you place the recovery file in same place as the extracted run.bat

[TOOL] LG Laf Recovery MultiTool v1.2

Just follow the instructions and you're good to go.

I also got CWM installed and running and added the Zippy rom to make sure it all works flawlessly.

Thanks everyone!
MartyMar, you're saying if I place the recovery.img file in the same folder as the LG Laf Recovery...zip folder after I extract it of course. Then run the .bat file, it will not only unlock the bootloader but also install CWM onto the phone??
I ask because I am have a hard time understanding the Thread about installing CWM 6.x.x.x Located Here
Thanks again.

My bad yes it is a kernal, I just keep referring to it as a rom by mistake. I admit I'm not the smartest at all this, I just got into learning about smart phones and roms and such a couple years ago but never really understood all the nuances.

After all I'm over 60 now and wasn't up on any of this till recently. And too boot my computers hard drive is dying so I'm forced to run my system off of a usb drive using Puppy linux for op system which doesn't allow me to use windows. In order for me to do any of these things I have to boot into windows and then my computer will freeze for up to an hour at a time while it tries to do commands and install drivers or anything. It took me over 4 hours to finally get rooted and then another 3-4 hours to unlock the bootloader and install CWM. I must have screwed up on placing the recovery partition where it should be, but now when I reboot into windows I cannot get it to recognize the adb shell command in the command window and its showing as being installed and recognized on my phone by under the su check window. I'm kinda stuck without recovery if I brick this thing again.

I can get back into the main window to reboot and get into download mode to fix everything back to stock so all is not lost.

Thanks everyone!

If you use my tool, you only have to download the recovery.img and place in same folder, you don't have to use that thread to flash and you wouldn't need to read it (and it was written for Linux users anyways..)

Yes, I place the recovery.Img and the laf.img in the same folder as the multitool folder.

I cannot get the drivers CT HS Phone General Drivers. I'm running Windows 8. Also after installing the new usb drivers Windows is saying USB device not recognized.

I never could install the CT HS ones, I just set my phone on Charge Only, then On MTP, then when I have fastboot on, I set ADB drivers, so it is odd that you're having that issue.. :( My computer would refuse to work before I had even installed the drivers.

What do you mean when you said "when I have Fastboot on, I set ADP drivers"? What version of Windows are you running?
My problem is that the computer won't recognize the phone at all. Maybe I am installing the wrong set of LG drivers
