Disregard. This was supposed to go on a different thread where the topic was lock screens on stock. It's true this does work. I just didn't mean for it tho go on this thread.
 
hroark, if you can take a look into this :/ i don't think its too much to fix, i need the mic on my phone for my music interpretation class
 
I've uninstalled every app except for what came with the ROM....... and still have "insufficient storage available"....

what should be my next course of Acton to get sufficient storage?.....

besides factory reset .....

Your getting that because the way the storage is set up . everyone has that problem.

You have to do a mod to fix it. Uninstalling and factory reset won't do anything.

Look in this forum there are a few methods . there's an xposed module and apps.

Best method is to partition your SD card and then use the link2sd paid app to link the apps and data to sd

You asked about suggestions, so here are mine:
Create one version with everything stock, no debloating, and every app/function working. Sort of "The Missing OTA".

After that, just release a debloat script or a "Safe to Remove" list.

People can swap apps as they wish after that, but it's hell trying to get a near perfect stock experience if things are debloated and added.

Some things are important in the stock app that people don't notice:

Removing the stock launcher causes issues with the Home Screen option in settings

Something in the other LG debloat scripts causes difficulty adding custom ringtones (unsure if that same issue exists here)

Removing the LG Lock Screen you lose knock-on/knock-off capability (Are knock codes working on this rom? My L70 had them with kitkat, knock code to turn screen on were kernel dependant though)

Switching messaging and other apps you lose QSlide capability.

I think that leaving all of the stock apps and features in for a completely clean base would be best at this stage, and then branch off of that for a custom rom/slim rom.
 
@rolgar - keep CWM or TWRP backups of your phone on different ROMs
I switch between Xperion, CM11, and KitKat regularly for testing without worrying about losing data. Takes me about 2 minutes to backup, 2 minutes to restore.

@Miigotu - I'm sure you can do it! It'd be a nice point to start off at for development if you're interested. Let Hroark give us the goodies to start off on developing great things for this phone.
 
Can somebody anybody who has it or knows how, upload the Stock LG Backup app please? I would like a zip to just flash it if possible or I can copy the files however it comes.

Install Xposed Framework, then the XternalSD
and KitKat SD Card Full Access modules.

If you have any problems with stock browser not downloading for you like I did, use ES File Explorers' built in download manager by changing in settings>download settings>directory path and set it to storage/external_SD and set it to always use if you wish.

EDIT: Personally I preferred using Links2SD Plus along with the11extsd2internalsd script together, but it doesn't run on this ROM.

Without the11extsd2internalsd swap script, you will eventually still run into more insufficient storage errors.

I have not made a rom that is based on Stock

Stock is JB 4.1.2 from LG and it is made for the phone

the ROMS I made are either built from source or they were ported from another phone, (505)

So the only way that I would be able to do what you say, would be to make a ROM based on stock JB 4.1.2

I am not interested in doing that at this time

However it can easily be done using my install scripts, Bard had made a JB rom with it, and I think that GT may be using my script or parts of it but I am not sure
 
Hey wassup HRoark13 any ideas for your next release man and by the way this ROM is the bomb man very well done besides minor bugs that bother me none

didn't you already ask this, on the same page even, how many more times will you ask ?

well the answers is, maybe I will some time in the future and maybe I wont

to be honest I have not really be in the mood to do any dev work at the moment

no one is paying me to do this, I have not received one single donation for anything I done on this phone to date, so I will work on stuff as time and desire permits

I think that you should probably use the stock ROM if you need this right away, cause I am not even sure if I can fix it, this is a BETA ROM, and does not work perfectly


There are some people here that are taking the initiative and trying to fix things, and I want those people to know I appreciate what they are doing

To be honest I am not even sure there is a problem with the MIC

you were the one who said that that the CM11 sound was working fine, and then I find out that it causes kernel crashed, so maybe there is not problem, maybe it is a problem with your mic, or one of your mods. I would maybe need some other people to verify that the problem really exist, before I bother to look at it.

Kk was so beautiful and smooth...but,on this phone...

It's like putting a diamond in the middle of a turd....LG ..and Google killed the android experience for me...lol

They must have invested in Windows phones...cause this phone makes em look good...

Only way i can install apk's it's if i learn how to code flash zips...and that be the death of this phone..

I'm sure it's a lot more touchy than a simple batch cmd...

I know saying thanx doesn't buy food or gas.....sorry thats all i can afford. ..

This phone was gifted to me..blah blah blah...

I'm so stupid that i can't install more than one app before i get insufficient space error....and. app2sd was it..not enough apparently

donations are not necessary, they are nice to get, but they are not why I do this hobby, it is more of like a weird addiction, that comes and goes from time to time

I usally get really deep in to it and crank a bunch of stuff out, then once I release it and put it on the forums, I tend to lose interest, after everyone starts whining, and complaining about the same issues in multiple posts, and asking for etas and such, it makes it feel more like a job than a hobby, and kind of kills the fun.

I am not trying to tell people what to post and what to not post, I am just trying to say the way things have been going in this and the cm11 thread, just really take the fun out of the whole thing

I like it when people join in and help fix stuff, and even using the stuff that I have made to make their own roms and stuff.

I am not saying that I am leaving the F6 or anything, but I am not gonna be putting that much time into it.

When I got all upset on the CM11 rom, I said I was gonna take a break, but instead I started working on the Port Rom

Before you do donate, just be warned that will not influence me one way are the other to do any work on this phone, bottom line is, I mess with this stuff when I am in the mood to do it, and have the time

i think you had storage issues with this rom because you did not do a factory wipe after you installed it, at lease I think that is the case

I understand that hroark13 but like u said u don't get paid for this and well I feel u deserve some compensation for the time and effort you have spent on this device. Either way I have a new phone on the way so im gonna retire my f6 ... So thanks for everything man

Already ordered just waiting on shipping was trying to get the oneplusone off of a guy around my way but he wanted 800 so I basically laughed at him

even if not Samsung make nice ROMS

I use an S4 with stock rom, I really don't feel the need to install a cusom rom on it, cause it is pretty nice as is
