I wipe data in advanced settings too. It wipes data which is where your apps are without wiping data/media(internal sd). Normally what your doing for an update to the same ROM should be fine, but from what I hear things are changing quick with these builds and it's probably a good idea to start from scratch completely. I use PhilZ recovery which has an option to "clean install a new ROM", which wipes system, data, and cash. Just make sure you don't format the wrong thing and wipe everything on your internal SD partition.

Sounds great. I'm still using 8/24 Beta 2 and have had no issues still in 2 days of running it. Thanks!
 
Beta3- MMS fix
Tried both MMS fix, still showing roaming indicator off !
I am not using MMS also not using boost service
 
No problems here so far with Beta3. Nothing but smoothness. This ROM should b called Paranoid Butterdroid!

That is a completely different unofficial AOSPAL from another site. This makes me wonder about problems being talked about here.
 
I download straight from this thread, how could one download from a different site but reply to this thread. Doesn't make sense to me.
 
Are the sites they are hosted on ******* with the uploads? I'd hate to know my phone got screwed up because of unreliable hosts.

That ROM was not downloaded from BasketBuild. It's from a completely different site. Maybe he downloaded numerous different PA ROMs and thought he was installing Seraph's.
 
Makes sense, I haven't tried beta 3 yet. I went back to stock to test out this reboot issue. Has only rebooted twice since Monday.

I think you may have something wrong with your phone. I have had no reboot issues with any of these builds. It doesn't seem to happen much with most roms for this phone actually. I had a Galaxy Rush before this and it rebooted all the time, sometimes even with unmodded stock. Beta 3 is definatly worth trying.

Was thinking that PA will release one rom for one device , how come there are two different PA ROMs for one device ?

There is only one official PA for this device. The ROM from this site and the ROM you installed are unofficial versions not made by the official PA team. You should read through the posts on these sites before you download anything!
 
Flashed Beta 3 last night, everything is working fine except the camera, who was it that said they had to flash the camera libs? Have a quick link to those?
