Is this the same Bekit kernel that you can get in ROM manager? Also, to install it can I just run the bekitxxxx.zip from rom manager?

Fab, I really appreciate all the work you do to pull these themes/themed ROMs together to make things easy for the rest of us. The thing is, I already had V1 loaded and themed with NexTheme (with some mods of my own) before you posted this version of NexBeast. The only extra feature I see in your list that I'm currently coveting is the "Lowered Ringer Delay."

Is that something that I can easily take from your zip file and apply to my Droid? If so, is it perhaps as easy as replacing the PhoneConig.apk (I hope)?

Thanks again!

You can just edit /system/builld.prop and find ringer_delay = 3000 and change it to =1 (3000ms = 3s, 1ms = no delay, basically)

Is anyone else not getting autocomplete or word suggestions with this rom? I'm using the android keyboard.

Have you tried going into settings, keyboard, and looking at the settings for the android keyboard? Also, I would suggest trying the HTC keyboard, as I find it to have much better suggestions and touch response. YYMV, though.

No, it's been edited by Pete to run on his ROM. Don't install the one from ROM manager :)

But you can install these with ROM manager.

I did. They were checked. So I went back in, unchecked and re-checked and... presto! Don't know why I had to do that, but everything is in order. Will give the HTC a spin as you say. My single most coveted feature right now is to auto-switch keyboards based on rotation. I like using the physical keyboard for emails and use it in conjunction with Better Keyboard to get suggestions popping up for the physical keyboard. (Don't know why this isn't standard.) Again, killer work. This is the slickest rom I have seen!

How would I go about getting Helix launcher2 but with the little android that moves his arm when launched.
CynogenMod with manups style so I can use it on this?
Thanks

this is running perfectly. did a clean install and no FC's as of now ! running the default 600mhz . i wont be raising it. the battery life is really good and its fast enough . .

I've installed updates and ROMs a ton of times with various methods and I can't get this one to work. Grrrrr
I feel like I am on the receiving end

I am using the 1200 Pete suggested.
It tells me (bad) when it tries to install and doesn't let me go further.
I have tried in clockwork, in rom manager, moving files with root explorer, moving them on my PC to droid, and using the original file name and renaming to update.zip.

I am not sure how my kernel would impact an install however.

I haven't tried that kernel, perhaps the file is corrupt?

I find that the 1GHz kernel is sufficient for my use.

Oh, I think I misunderstood you.

It works fine on BBV1, but not on NexBeast?

You can install NexBeast, but when you install the 1.2GHz kernel, it fails?

Check the PM I sent earlier - I can't resend it as it doesn't show up in my sent box.
Upon install it comes up as (bad) and terminates the install.
I have tried every single which way and nada.

Kernel works on V1, but I can't even install NexBeast - at all

I am pretty sure i have installed all the updates yeah i think wow not sure anymore. still have no video on mms. play bar moves but not the video.

I'll look into it.

Anyone know of a way to send yourself a video mms (website or whatnot) ?

looked into faq's and went 1.0 to 800 ovrclked and no fix. it was on pete's rom site on alldroid. been bouncing back and forth for the last two days. head is spinning:D

Just installed BB v1 using ROM manager (came from Jrummy) but am missing some of the themed stuff that it looks like this ROM offers. When you say just "install .zip" do you mean just drag and drop the NexBeastV1.zip file over to the SD card and then use ROM manger to install from SD card? In other words don't rename the file but use the entire "NexBestV1.zip" as its currently named? Thanks!

Yeah, nice thing about Clockwork recovery is the ability to install any .zip file, so it eliminates the need to rename it to update.zip

Just plop it on your sdcard and choose 'Install ROM from SDcard' and you're good to go!

Please try this for me:

Settings, Sound & Display, and uncheck 'SD card notifications'

Now see if you can get it to boot loop by removing USB.

Or verify the ringtone is NOT on the SDCard

my phone did this too yesterday.. not anymore

ah thanks dude .

orginally: mounted USB . added file to mem card . turned off USB thru the notification menu - went to a boot loop for about 3 times then finally went to home

after turning off the SD card sound: mounted USB, add file to card, turn off USB thru the phone, NO BOOT LOOP

interesting
