Root New update

No it won't brick it. I believe it only adds support for walmarts straight talk if you are referring to the b06 update. If you don't want to install it but want to get rid of the nag I believe there is a fix in the awe inspired ROM thread. I would personally recommend flashing to a different rom like the L awe 2.5 rom. I have herd that the update gets rid of root but I believe there is a way to get it back.
 
anyway to get rid of this nagging piece of crap? why wont these companies understand that consumers hate this.

edit: i sideloaded the ota_fix.zip using TWRP. still getting the popup!

I am not getting the update notification on my phone. Could one of you that are getting the update upload the file so are devs can look at it. You don't have to install it. Just make sure it downloads to your phone. I don't recall the exact directory it downloads to but it will probably be named something similar to the old update named 4f81a68dd26922d0ae7b335277b9040013c63ee8.N800_B05_to_B06GOTA.zip.
It will probably say B06_to_B07GOTA. You will need root and a root file manager like es file explorer to find the file in the internal storage. TIA!

im getting the update notification on a few of my phones. I'll try post the update file later tonight (unless someone else does beforehand)

any way to stop these popups? i hate it!
 
It looks like we need to have a look at the new updates files first in order to make another fix for the nag screen.I am still not getting it to show up on my phone so hopefully someone can upload the update file for us.
 
It is already downloaded from the sounds of it. You just have to find it on your phone and upload it. Sounds easier than it really is though lol. Make sure you have root and a file manager with root enabled. Try searching for B06 or B07. The new version should be named B07 if ZTE has kept the same naming convention. The file should be around 18 MB as the screen shot above shows.
