Root [ROM][RC][4.4.4] SlimKat 12/22/2014

I haven't looked into it yet but does lollipop do the same? Oh also have any of you tried the 3+ xposed modules for storage? I had folder mount working on the previous build but changed it because it replicated my music at least 4 times lol. I will flash back to this in a little bit and play around with it. I was on stock for a little bit unfortunately trying to get the B07 update lol.

Yeah its the same for L , or at least it was on the Dev preview on my Nexus.

Psssst. I see new builds on his Android File Host profile. Should probably wait till he makes the anouncment himself in case he changes the build thats there now. I am a flashaholic though so I am diving in lol.

I was actually thinking about erasing my post but thanks for giving the green light. Sorry. I shouldn't of said anything probably. Wasn't very respectful of me.

Go ahead and flash them. I didn't have time to update the posts.

Thank you very much for all your work on these ROM's especially this one. It is greatly appreciated. Did you try the new build with the Over clock kernel by any chance?

I removed it because of the heat it generated. If you guys really want it then I'll add it back.

My talkatone still works on this rom with the latest update. It however doesn't work with the only other 2 I have flashed. Carbon rom and AOKP.

You guys should check this out....
They work so far by my testing.
Leaked Android 5.0 Lollipop apps: new Messenger, Google Play Music, Google Fit, and more [DOWNLOAD]

http://phandroid.com/2014/10/20/che...y-music-and-more-leaked-android-5-0-lollipop/

Calendar has to be in priv-app...gmail works great as does messenger... (MMS works)
GMail force closes on compose... Will look into it.
OK for gmail to work follow this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56158070&postcount=111

OK google fit prompts you to update but the app isn't in the play store yet. Everything else seems good. Just don't use any theme engine themes that touch gmail.

For those using Hangouts with this ROM (or any of the KitKat ROMs for that matter), are you able to choose what number (phone or Google Voice #) to send SMS or MMS messages from?

There should be an option in the SMS settings "Send SMS from", but only one option shows regardless of whether the "Messages: Show SMS & voicemail in Hangouts" box is checked or not.

The send from options are:

Choose which account you want to send your text replies from.

  • Smart Reply: Reply from the number the original text message was sent to.
  • Your device's phone number: Use your device's phone number to send your reply even if the text was sent to another number, like your Google Voice number.
  • Google Voice number: Use your Google Voice phone number to send your reply even if the text was sent to another number, like your device's phone number.

If this is not a problem for others, I will do a clean install of the next release.

Thanks.

FINALLY figured out how to get foldermount to work!

Using Root Explorer I had to change the permissions of /mnt/emulated/ to rrx-rrx-rrx and reboot. This allows Foldermount to gain access and read/write folders where it otherwise would give "Permission error?", in this case the internal storage. Finally allowed me to link my /obb/ game data to my external sd without having to transfer the files to and from my computer (ie, just make the empty folder on the internal storage and allow it to "make" the folder on the external, but its already there...it wont delete anything) and works perfectly. The only game it isn't working with is Dead Effect, but I can live with that.

So SlimKat is officially my dd. Now just waiting for an overclock...

Here you go dragon... This is the overclocked variant of the kernel from phenom. Works on KitKat fine. It's the same one he originally included before he removed it for the purpose of it generating excessive heat for some people.

Thanks boss. I'm aware of the heat issue and lived with it on the JB kernel so it doesn't bother me. I'll report my experiences when I have time to play around with it, particularly while recording gameplays

Was at %100 when I started playing (wifi on and using MOGA Pro Bluetooth controller, overclocked to 1.6ghz interactive, performance gpu) and only went down to about 69%.
