Yes, but the Edit button for AF Contributors (or any staff) is MIA. Without that, threads cannot be marked NMI, Answered, or CFR.
I think I found how you're supposed to mark it Answered/NMI but it doesn't work for me:
1. Click Thread Tools at the top of the page.
2. Click Edit Thread
3. Click Support next to the title
4. This brings down a menu with the Answered and Need Info options, but I can't choose them. In fact I can barely see them because the menu is transparent.

To change your Avatar simply click on the default Avatar image in your profile page.
View attachment 59601

A pop up box will then appear and give you the option.

I know how to change it but i get a permission error.

In the upper right corner, tick your name. Select Avatar in the left column to change it.

Don't know if this has been reported, but there is no apparent way for AF Contributors (and all staff I would assume) to set status (NMI, Answered, etc.) on answered threads in the Android Questions (i.e., non-member) sub-forum. Tried this with Chrome, Firefox, and IE10.

When browsing the section (without going into a thread), do you get tick boxes next to every thread? If you tick it, one of the options should be to add a prefix.

Ah, found my favourites. :) Thanks Xyro.

I'm on the desktop version via my dusted down laptop. I can't see the desktop version of the site working very well in a mobile browser due the amount of small pop up windows that keep appearing. While very useful on a PC (haven't got a tablet to test) on a mobile it's going to confuse the hell out of the browser. Is this why even after changing my user agent and using Wi-Fi it still knows when I access the site via mobile ? If so how? Is it something I can change to try ?

I detest mobile versions of sites and really hate tapatalk. If it is something I am going to have to live with, for me the upgrade will have been disappointing, I seldom use a desktop or laptop, even at work.

Yeah, the desktop version scales down to an extent, according to available screen real estate, but there is no separate mobile skin.

This is a permission setting. Be sure that EVERYONE is set up as a "Registered" user and enable the permission there. Moderators such as yourself, admins, etc... should all have that set up as a Secondary usergroup.

You've pretty much described how our setup worked in vBulletin. There must be some issue in importing the permissions from that to XenForo that is responsible for today's problems.

Does anyone still use the OLD Phandroid app (v.2.5.14)? I do and prefer it to the Android Forums app b/c you can access the forums and news from the same place. Worked great until the changeover. News is accessible but the Forums button just generates a blank page. Hope you will support this and not orphan the app.

I think tthat support for that app was dropped in favour of the AF branded Tapatalk, so it seems unlikly that they would decide to update it.

AhHa! I see. That is very different wording than Private Message.... LOL

Thanks

Kratos
In actuality, there is no "private" message on any forum as the content is available on the server Database but yes, it's quite different.

Everyone please keep in mind that this change just happened and the staff are also trying to work through it. A lot of the issues you are seeing are due to permission settings not transferring correctly from the old forum was to this one.

I own 4 XenForo powered forums, let me know if you have any questions (Note: I cannot help you with your phone).

Yeah,I still used it as well,that is,until yesterday. :(
The app is still in the GOOGLE PLAY STORE,but,as indicated,it hasn't received an update in 3 1/2 years.
It's safe to say this app is no longer supported, however,it wouldn't hurt to ask the powers that be if something could be done to restore a connection/functionality to the forum side of the app,at least to the state that it was before the transition to what we have now.......

Help, is anyone having this problem!!!
I can only read the first couple of posts, then the rest are like this, please help!!!

Even if someone responds to this, i probably won't be able to read it unless its at the top of the page ;(

Thanks Kolio. I would have copied the permalink to your answer and forwarded it to Phases. But HA! there's no way to do that currently
