Going to scream...I hate not knowing how to do something

ok....remember the sdk folder gets put in the root of the C drive....the asroot2 file (gets extracted) and the recovery file both get put in the tools folder of the sdk folder...
 
Im on step 13 and literally pausing the video after every step

Question...

I am going to lose sense when i root right?
 
Oh dear and i was doing so good
it said
cannot stat 'recovery...blah blah blah: No such file or directory

what do i do?

just retype the command from there..the shell is already started..if you want you can just restart it over again too...

i guess everybody else gave up on me
im on step 15
it rebooted
and im waiting for it to come back on
 
no problem...im out of here in 5 minutes..i get to go home yay..when i get home ill see if i can get on the pc again..hopefully everything runs smooth though...or if you have any ? someone here will be able to help ya quick...but post your progress :D

and also will i lose sense?
now that i am rooted?
 
Nope, rooting does nothing other than give you full blown access to your phone. When you reboot it will look exactly the same.

For a custom ROM, you just download the one you want, copy the .zip file to the root of your sdcard, reboot into RA (hold "volume -" and power on), wipe data and dalvik cache, flash the zip.

nothing changes, unless you change it. you will have sense, unless you remove it

i tried to make sure i went back and thanked those

and i am sorry if i was a wee bit slow

Now i am going to have questions about Custom roms!!!

Suggestions as to which???
 
Personally, I tend to use Fresh or DamageControl ROMs...but everyone will tell you it's personal preference and to just play around and find the one you like. I was running Fresh and now I'm running Damage...I like both.

Fresh 2.0d or damageless 2.08
 
Not meaning to barge in, but I may need some help....using manual root, got to step 18 in the commands. When I did "flash_image recovery recovery-RA-heroc-v1.5.2.img" I got the "out of memory" error. Any suggestions?

I'm not pretty like carmendiva, but I am grateful for help! lol

Your sd card doesn't have enough room for therecovery image. you need to delete stuff or get a new card. you can drag and drop the rec image to the card, you dont have to use the cmd to push it when you find some room.
