Factory reset rooted Galaxy s2 now stuck in boot screen

Lurker
As the title suggests, I attempted to factory reset my rooted Galaxy S2 and is now stuck in the boot screen. I tried to do a hard reset, but it returns back to the same screen. Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

So it was working fine before the reset?
Turn it off then boot into recovery (home, power, volume UP) and reset it again from there (use volume keys to scroll and home key to select)
if that doesnt fix it, youll have to reflash it

Hi Mate thanks for the reply,
yes it was working before i reset it.

I tried the home power vol up button.. but it does not work. as in nothing happens.. the same screen appears.

How do I "reflash" the phone??

Thanks again.

Put your phone into Download mode by turning it off completely and then press and hold the following buttons... Volume Down + Home (centre hard key) + (lastly) Power. Continue to hold these buttons until your phone boots into the Warning! screen asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel. Press Volume Up. See video, here.

If you need to return it to stock you will need to download the stock Samsung firmware for your model of phone and CSC code and flash it via Odin. See #1.7 of the Jelly Bean update - Dummies Guide for full instructions, downloads and video on how to do this.

Hi, I'm new here and I read a few posts about this problem but there is one thing that won't work for me... I can put it in dowload mode but there is no way I can get my CSC code to know which stock firmware to get...

It's a GT-I9100M.

Thanks for the help!

Glad it helped. :)

Okay, maybe not, but it should be. ;)

Around how long does the download take? I did the down , home and power buttons and it's downloading, but it is taking a while. Anyone know how long?

That button combination only puts the phone in download mode. It will display "downloading", but you must then push the files to the phone using odin. I haven't' flashed an S2 in a while but it can take upwards of 15 minutes to complete.
