I'd try google glass before you buy them. They are kind of annoying and don't always pick up on the hand movements right away..so you look like an insane person swapping at invisible flies that aren't really there.. Walking into people...looking straight ahead like your in a trance...

Oh wait!! I wasn't wearing google glass! haha!
no but it is true
:)

I never caught the appeal of Google Glass nor Android Wear. It seems that having glasses turned my face into a magnet during basketball or other rough activities.....so I definitely don't want $1500 glasses.

You could go with contacts(i just made the switch) and then you don't have to worry about filling a prescription when you buy Glass.

hahahah! my boy's were joking that they were going to put together a yoga pant out...where all the guys wear those awful yoga pants to school one day in a stand of solidarity of...just...no!

Quite possibly the Toshiba Chromebook 2. It has a lovely IPS screen.

I've heard news of more low-end chromebooks coming early 2016, but I'm just not interested.

Fun to work on. The Vulcan had a job with a traffic light maintenance company as an engineer at one point. He had one big control box that needed to be defrosted at intervals.

If it was long ago, it likely would have been an electro-mechanical controller, i.e relays and stepper motors. The lubrication plus condensation can freeze. I know fun to work on, my Uncle Gordon who used to work at Plessey Traffic Controls Ltd. He spent two years in Beijing in 1977-79, supervising the upgrading of their traffic control systems. He told me all about it when I was younger.
