Yeah in other news, the package my girlfriend is giving me with the cell, and she will deliever about 100 dollars of random goodies, and it will cost me 250, yikes...
For the past week, the Darling Bride has had a device attached to her back with two small leads stuck into her, near adjacent nerves on either side of her spine. The idea was that the device would generate pulses that interfere with pain signals on the way to her brain, effectively canceling them out. For the past two days she's walked several miles in the morning, bending and stooping, twisting and turning... with absolutely zero low back pain. It's such a success that the device, called NALU, will be surgically implanted into her back as a permanent solution. She asked her doctor if she can have more than one implanted: a second in her upper back. He replied yes, but let's do one thing at a time!

EVERY prescription medication has side effects. It's a balance of benefit vs. risks. Big Pharma profits by treating symptoms, not causes; and managing illness instead of curing it (because a patient cured is a customer lost). This is exactly how it all works... and why a good homeopathic doctor is worth their weight in gold for helping get to the root cause of the problem. My Darling Bride's chiropractor is one such practitioner. He ran tests and recommended natural remedies for her pain and isolated my conditions to a mystery fungal infection; then recommended specific supplements to treat them (and didn't sell them to us, so he didn't make any money from them).

The record El Niño is the reason most of the United States is unseasonably warm. This is pushing back the first freeze days, if not weeks, behind normal. That may be a sign of a really BAD late winter for much of our country: so make sure you have plenty of emergency food, water, cooking fuel, medication, and generator power ready in advance.
