Root [LINARO] AWEstruck v1.04 12/14/14 | [3.4.107] v1.05b6 5/30/15

Hey spock1104, when you feel like delving back in for some more logs and tests gmail me and I'll get whatever you need. I'm off work til wednesday so I got time to play.

(I'll let take a wild guess at my gmail u/n)

For now I guess I could uses some logs when trying to play a video with youtube 6. Tomorrow I'll upload some older kernels, maybe we can find out where it broke.

It would appear I made a typo that prevented from UHID from getting compiled. You miss one commit...

I did a clean wipe and reflashed gummy. Still lose root. Going to restore my backup of liquid smooth to see if it also happens on that ROM.

Update:

Still have root after flashing on liquid smooth. Only thing so far that I am having a problem with is the thermal settings saving in 3c toolbox.

Good news and bad news. Bad news first. I really haven't had the time to finish off the update project. Good news: there may be an intermediate step that also fixes other stuff and lets me bring improvements quicker. ZTE posted KitKat source code for the V811 that still contains, at least at first glance, everything needed by our phone. I'm working on generating a patch between the two kernels. What this means: I can unofficially get us to ZTE's KitKat source code.

*edit* it just gets better, they actually left the configs in here for becky, coeus, nestor, nex (that's us!), stormer, and warplte. When they provided the original NEX source I had to pull the config off of the phone.

how is the rock coming?

Slow but sure. Despite ZTE including the configs for this phone, the code came with errors. I finally got it all to compile today, but it doesn't boot. This will be more difficult to get by, since fastboot on this device shows absolutely nothing on the screen. Normally fastboot would show the boot progress. I would also try to pick and choose which files I want and put them into the working kernel code, but there's over 2000 files changed.

och well u get it I will test just pm me

Still a ways off for that, only means that I've given the kernel enough awareness to know something is wrong and go to diagnostic mode.
