Good pilots.
The first one you can actually see the landing gear flex. I think it's probably a good think the passengers can't see in front of them. Many may have been concerned that they couldn't see a runway just before touchdown.:p

I've been in a great number of landings like that. Believe me, you know exactly what's going on when you watch the runway approach out your window while the aircraft yaws like a beast. :D

What I dislike is the whole process. Booking the flight. Navigating the airport, checking in on time, getting my junk groped :P, waiting for the plane when it's late, sitting in tight spaces for 6 hours trying to pop my ears, landing, waiting to disembark, etc.

I like flying, I just don't like having to pay for a ticket. I need to find me a Mr. Moneybags who will take me traveling to see the world :p

Another thing I don't like...I once left my passport in my checked luggage, and airport security wouldn't accept my temporary driver's license(i had just renewed and was waiting for the permanent id). They also would not accept my concealed weapons permit(a government issued photo ID)....but did accept my credit card as proof of ID. WTF!?

Flying can be too expensive sometimes, I take the bus or train, just means it might take 12 hours to get there rather than 1 hour, but I've saved the equivalent of $150. And have kept my dignity at all times, no removing shoes, belts, jackets, examining laptops, liquids in bags, etc. etc.

Yup...I had something similar several years ago.

I was working for the DOS, and was checking in to a flight in Florida. I had all of my luggage hanging off of me, so getting to my wallet was going to be a bit difficult. I was, however, wearing my Federal Government issued DOS identification badge.

So when I got to the TSA screening area, and they asked for my Drivers License as identification proof, I reached for my DOS id hanging from my lanyard. The TSA guy looked at it, then looked at me and said "No, I'm sorry sir, I will have to see your Drivers License for identification purposes."
I looked at the guy and said "You do know that this is a Federal Government DOS issued id badge, and is more difficult to obtain than a Drivers License." The TSA guy simply responded, "Sorry sir, but I can't accept that as identification. I must see your Drivers License." So of course, I dropped all of my bags, pulled out my wallet, and showed it to him.

Whahaha, a Dutch retailer is having this incentive program: giving away tiny boxes with a tiny biologically degradable pot, compressed potting soil and seeds. There are 21 different vegetables and herbs to collect. Idea is that kids learn more about healthy food, nature and gardening. But even adults (like me, ahem) love the mini kitchen gardening. Exchanging those boxes is hype in social media and offices :D
