Non market apps sources.

How do you delete non market apps?

Edit: Never mind. The facebook app looks nice, but made my phone go crazy. It kept freezing up and closing out of the app.

The wifi-tether app on there is the same one on google code and requires a rooted phone. It won't work on our Sprint Heroes until there's an exploit discovered. The good news is that the kernel source has been released and hopefully we'll have rooted phones by the weekend. It probably won't be that fast but I'm sure it'll happen soon and then we can use wifi tether along with other interesting apps.

Tethering - Using your phone as a modem for your computer.

Rooting - Giving you full access to your phone.

Tethering wont really affect your phone. A bad attempt at rooting could brick it, or simply put... trash your phone. Of course if done correctly you open up a lot more apps and the ability to flash your phone with custom ROM builds.
