Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

People who don't know how a merging lane works.
People who don't know how a stop sign works.
People who don't know how their directionals work.
People who drive small cars and make turns like they are driving a 30 foot box truck.
People who pull out in front of you at the last minute just to make the right turn 5 feet from where they pulled out.
People who are not courteous.
People who hate anyone who is different than they are.
People in general
Yellow lights that turn red.
Rap.

You are describing Colorado drivers.

I've got a better turning radius with my 96 Tacoma than most small cars.

In the next town north, about ten miles away, they have (last I counted) at least 15 roundabouts throughout the town. It's not big enough to be considered a city

WordPress updated and borked... I guess it's a good thing I have not done anything to the database since I installed it last...

LG has some good news for you in that case.

@LOveWerks , You can still clear everything in chrome. I do it from time to time as a force of habit.
I clear Chrome via history on our PC. Humboldt County was very cool, when I visited there some years back.

I've driven in many different states of 'the lower 48', and I found MN drivers to be very courteous, once you're out of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

My father and mother back in my MA days called turn signals 'directionals', and we did, too. Just a holdover from times past, I'm sure.

Where I'm at in NC, turn signals seem to be optional for many drivers. What drives me crazy are the drivers that are in the furthest left lane who decide "whoops, this is where I need to turn right," and cut off everyone behind them to make that turn, or exit - with no turn signals used.

MA drivers, like NY drivers, tend to be rude. NC, however, is definitely playing 'catch-up'.

I'm sure that everyone from every state and territory in the United States can share a driving horror story of some kind.

Human beings, doing their 'lifeworks'... imperfect as they may be.

Cab drivers in San Francisco scared me to death. Steve McQueen in Bullitt revisited. Same thing in NYC, and Chicago.

We seem to be de-evolving, in some ways... but, I try my best to go out of my way to treat my
fellow humans with love and respect IRL.

What did they do? The last update was a complete PITA - don't DARE to blog there from a JellyBean phone, using a browser - the scrolling feature disappears when you're right in the middle of writing. I'm afraid to log in now... LW

The town that I live in (or, annexed to, anyway - we're out in the boonies) consists of ONE roundabout - at least you have different routes to escape from (lol)... LW

We have some scary drivers here in Las Vegas. We have a lot of people from many different states and countries. We have a lot of tourists. We have a lot of jerks.

I will say that the nicest drivers I've encountered were in Hawaii. Very courteous.

When apps update but the devs don't tell you what the update is for!
Google and Facebook do it everytime and half my other apps are the same way!

If you don't allow auto update, but do get a notice that an update is available, you can read the "improvements and notes" before you update - at least for Android apps. It's usually listed as "what's new"

I just go check on my updates when I feel like it. All listed under "My Apps"

Remembering history - when Levittown, NY was built after the WWII vets came home, every house looked alike at first.
People kept trying to get into the wrong house!

I'd just come back from spending five days in "Xanadu New Town" teaching English, four hours in a taxi. I pressed the wrong button in the lift, not realized it, was on autopilot and not looking at the numbers. All the landings and front doors in the place are identical. It finally dawned on me when I looked up at the apartment number above the door. "1802". I live in 1702....

People trying to get into the wrong house or apartment could be a real problem sometimes, because they actually could get in occasionally. When they built some of these places, they often fitted cheap locks with a very limited number of key combinations. I heard when they built a new housing area in my hometown in the UK, someone found they could unlock every twelfth front door using their own front door key.i.e. apparently there was only twelve key combinations for the locks they used.
