Galaxy S5 water damage

Guest
so recently my galaxy s5 got damage by water and now i have to replace the LCD screen and the charger port. The price came up to 400 bucks. is it worth fixing it??

How much would a used/second hand s5 cost you?
The reason I'm asking is that the water damage could fry the mother board somewhere down the line
PS isn't the s5 supposed to be water resistant??

is worth fixing my Galaxy S5. it got damaged by water and now i have to replace the LCD screen and the charger port. Total came up to $400..... ......... should i try and fix it myself or what???

Personally I'd go for a used s5 as AMOCO says they're going for under $400.
It's just that water damage can kick in months after the phone's been soaked so I wouldn't like you to pay for repairs and then for the chips inside to pack in after a few months

I agree,Why put money into your s5 when it may crap out in months or even days of the repair.

If they're changing the charger port, it likely means the whole logic board would be replaced. That and the screen requiring replacement. There's not a lot left LOL, apart from the case, battery and antenna.
