Help Touchwiz

I am new to this forum, actually its the only forum I was ever on. I have been trying to research my issue for over an hour now and I need an answer that is put into the simplest terms. A lot of the questions and answers are to techy for me to understand, I am also coming from having an iphone for the 6 years to having a Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

If someone could answer my question and dumb it down for me I would really appreciate it.
I downloaded Touchwiz (I was just trying to download a new calendar) and my whole phone changed. I spent the weekend adding widgets to the different pages and putting my apps into specific folders, but once I downloaded Touchwiz everything disappeared. I want to get my phone back to the way it was when I first purchased it. I have had this phone for a few months so I don't want to do anything that would delete all of my pictures, videos or apps.

All I want is to get rid of this touchwiz and get the stock setting or whatever the original setup was called back the way I had it set up before I lost it.

I know some people are going to think I am stupid, and yes I will agree with them. I am very stupid when it comes to Android devices. If someone is feeling nice enough to explain this to me in the simplest terms (like you are talking to a 2nd grader) I would really appreciate it.

Thank you!!

Hi, and welcome!

TouchWiz is the stock Samsung launcher UI on the Note 4, and is only (afiak) downloadable as part of a Samsung firmware update. My first step would be to uninstall whatever calendar app it was that you installed, and see if that fixes the problem.

Do you have a download link for this app?

I did delete the app. I don't know where to find a download link. When I go under default notification and then select home it gives me 3 options. TouchWiz easy home, TouchWiz home, and Google Now Launcher. I downloaded the Google Now Launcher after watching a youtube video to try and get my original screens back. Now every time I press the home button it says select home app and it gives me those three choices.

This never happened before, I was just using the phone the way I bought it. If touchwiz is the stock shouldnt that be the option I pick when I am asked to select a home app to get my phone to look the way it did?

Ok I did that. My background is different and all the widgets I had set up are not there anymore. Are they gone for good? Will I have to set everything up again? I spent a good amount of time getting all my apps and widgets set up the way I liked it.

Not sure but if you go to Settings, applications, hit the menu button (or 3 dots) and select "reset app preferences".
Then hit Home button, it should give you the choice of launchers again so this time select Touchwiz Easy and it should be how you left it (hopefully)
