My ph is galaxy s4 international version
AP-I9500 XXUEMJ8
CP-I9500 XXUEMJ8
CSC-I9500 OXEEMJ2
VERSION-4.3
STATUS-OFFICIAL
I can't update via OTA or Kies since i've purchased my ph.
Does it indicate mismatch? If so, what can i do to correct mismatch?

Thanks for your reply. I've one more question. Can I receive updates via OTA?

Apologies if this is stated elsewhere in this forum but I have been trying to find this for over a month with no luck.
I'm in the UK, my carrier is Vodafone. I have an international Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (AP: 19505XXUGNE8, CP:I9505XXUGNE8, CSC: I9505VFGGNE2, Baseband i9505XXUGNE8).
Samsung recently upgraded my firmware in their Service Centre to fix a black screen of death issue. Since upgrading me to 4.4.2 I now have the common issue of a battery drain, but the more annoying issue is the wi-fi and bluetooth interference (i.e. where it won't connect to either). I have tried several fixes suggested on forums such as deactivating the sleep mode, deleting the cache in storage settings, deleting the cache via the reboot mode, pulling the battery. Occasionally if the battery goes dead, I might get wifi, but then if it goes dead again I don't know how many times I have to try all of the above before it decides to work.
My point is, I'm pretty fed up to say the least. Are there any firmer dates on when the 4.4.3 version for the 4.4.2 bug fixes (or even 4.4.4 dare I say it) will be released for my phone???
As I don't have wi-fi I have Kies but no update on there :-(
Thanks

Thank you so much for your speedy response (and nice to see you're in the same part of the world as me- also in Cotswolds!).
I forgot to mention I have tried running in safe mode but still had the same issues. I read somewhere that 4.4.3 was due to be released this month due to fix the bugs on 4.4.2, is this true and if so, have there been any more formal dates released? If not, I will have to return it to the Service Centre again. Concerned about using Odin but if Samsung won't release ODA and the Service Centre won't help then I may have to flash another firmware, but knowing my luck it will make it worse. I'm still within the 2 year manufacturer warranty. Vodafone have been no help

When I first got the above error I tried google and updated my firmware as mentioned in Firmwares | SamMobile | Page 3. Still i'm having same issue.

Hi, i read your post and i really enjoyed it. Have you heard of this GS4 variant SGH-S970G? This is from tracfone a variant of the t- mobile SGH-M919 GS4. If you would like more info please feel free to ask![]()

Thanks micallan_17!
I have amended the thread title accordingly.
Forgive me if I do not get excited about the release of the SGH-S970G. It is yet another U.S. carrier branded, minority variant, of the worlwide Samsung Galaxy S4, which was released late last year for Tracfone. This handset has taken the title of, "Oldest Android firmware on a Galaxy S4", by having the old Android 4.2.2, MH3, firmware, (according to SamMobile)...
Model: SGH-S970G
Model name: GALAXY S4 LTE
Country: Unknown
Version: Android 4.2.2
Changelist: 1348334
Build date: Wed, 14 Aug 2013 07:45:34 +0000
Product Code: TFN
PDA: S970GUDUAMH3
CSC: S970GTFNAMH3
MODEM: S970GUDUAMH3
This phone, in common with other U.S. minority variants, comes with its own heavily modified, (by the carrier), firmware and added bloatware which should ensure that, "bugfix", updates are few and far between... if at all.![]()
Hi ironass,
I recently bought an S4 - GT-I9500 and the first day I had it during the night it downloaded Lollipop automatically. installed it but ever since it's been soooo slow! I decided the other day to see if I could downgrade and after scouring the net and seeing if it was possible I got all the things I needed and did it. Back to Kitkat
Now, the phone is not seeing my SIM card and I get a prohibition sign on the right top where the signal strength is supposed to be. Also when I check my IMEI number it's saying IMEI null/null.
When dialing *#1234# this is what I get:
AP: I9500XXUGNH2
CSC: I9500OJVFNG1 and that's it.
When dialing *#0011# to get into service mode it's blank too.
Really don't know what to do now....any suggestions

Hello and welcome to Android Forums Benjamin88
The i9500 is the non 4G/LTE, octa core variant of the Galaxy S4.
The OJV CSC code is for Middle East firmware, possibly Saudi Arabia or UAE and is for KitKat. This is the firmware that you flashed to your phone. It does not tell me what your original firmware was. Do you know your original firmware, "Version", details were, as per #1.3?
Are you able, over Wi-Fi, to install, "Phone INFO ★Samsung★", free from the Play Store, as this will show you a lot more information, such as...
Knox Warranty under General
Original CSC code numder CSC Code
Hardware/Board under Hardware
IMEI under Personal
Alternatively, you could try flashing your, "original", Lollipop firmware back to the phone to see if that helps.
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the firmware should be Saudi Arabia. It's the closest one I found.
This is my first Samsung so unfortunately I didn't check the original firmware version before flashing it.
I have downloaded Phone INFO now, this is what I see:
Know Warranty - 0x1
Original CSC code - KSA
Hardware/Board - universal5410 [32-bit]
IMEI - 004999010640000 (this does not match the one on the cover behind the battery?)
Hope this helps. Is there a way to change my IMEI number or is that dependent on the firmware loaded?
It is never a good idea to post your IMEI # on an open forum and I have asked our kind, friendly, helpful, Mods to remove it for your own protection.

Hi. I'm writing this hoping to find a solution.
I rooted my S4 some months ago and since my device is acting weird. Device restarts sometimes when the screen sleeps, the Home screen(TouchWiz Home) freezes randomly when turned on and Restart when turned on after sleep randomly, specially when a call comes after its sleep and answered.
Please help me with this. Following are some info about the device.
Device : Samsung Galaxy S4
Model: GT-I9505
Country : (Don't know, my cousin gave this to me when he got a new. How to check country? Well I'm currently in Sri Lanka)
AP: I9505XXUGNJ1
CP: I9505XXUGNJ1
CSC: I9505TNZGNJ1
Android Version : 4.4.2
Device Status: Custom(Official before root)
Please ask if anymore info is needed and tell how to find them... Still nOOb! Lol
Thanks in advance!

Thanks and nopes still happens.
I used Odin to Root as a file called "CF-Autoroot-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar.md5" as the PDA. That's all.
And another thing. After root there was a app called "SuperSU". I used it's "Un-root" feature unroot it when I discovered the problem. But the problem was still there. I even used a app to make sure its unrooted. It was but the problem was still there.
I read few articles and I found one saying that it may cause due to using wrong ROM to root the device causing it to overuse CPU and blah blah... will it turn to normal when I install a "Stock ROM"(Doesn't really know what those are)?
Please help! Thanks again.
You could then try re-rooting again, using the Rooting Galaxy S4 - Dummies Guide.
