You know of course that you can check out more recent books thru your local library. Welcome to the 21st century.
 
I bought Dngrswife a Kindle for Christmas, and she uses it a lot; though she still prefers paper (a good hardcopy is just so nice to read), she is at least not completely averse to reading an ebook now.

Last time I spoke to the author, who's also an English expat living in China, it had been on Kindle, Nook, etc. for a year and it had sold zero copies! :( ...frankly his book is just boring, and is one reason why we don't tend to talk any more.

Anyone can have a book published electronically, if they want to pay the up-front publishing agent fees, rather like a vanity press, but doesn't necessarily mean that anyone will actually want to buy and read it though. A bookstore selling real books, will only fill their shelves with books they think and know might sell, whereas an e-book store has almost unlimited capacity, Amazon would like to sell the e-books, but on the other hand it's not really costing them anything if a proportion of them don't sell at all, or sell very few.

Remember when I said I put the kabush (so) ? On people here all the time etc... Yeah well I had 2 days that's it!! 2 days!! Ughhhhh.. And now hubby told me he invited his friend kids etc etc over to swim BBQ etc
Honestly I've had people here everyday I had this Tuesday and Wednesday without having to entertain whatever since 4th of July !
Sorry for the rant:)

Sure fire way to get the kids up in the morning. Requires external speakers cranked up. Results are amazing and humorous!
