So I've been conversing with some other contributors to the ZTE ZMAX, and there seems to be a consensus that our developer activity is lacking, largely due to the inexperienced nature of our user base. Now, I just finished my last paper for summer school, and the Fall semester begins on August 12th, which means I have a small but feasible window to offer some serious guidance on development related questions, but I need to know that there is interest. If I can get 25 "interested" votes in the question above, I will establish something to help with development. This does not mean that I will spoon feed you, and you won't be a master dev in a week, but this gets you going.
What you can primarily learn from me is how to compile kernels and create stock ROMs with custom features. The alterior motive is to (A) Create diversity in our ROM selection and (B) Help to get us a home on XDA. The reason I am pushing for XDA is because while I truly love AF, the structure and regulation of the sub-forums allows for easily accessible content. ROMs and kernels are mixed with a flurry of Q&As and discussion threads, making it hard to keep track of content. Also, an XDA home attracts more users, some of which may have developer experience.
Like I said, I'm willing to help, but I need a show of interest along (among other things). Please don't flood my inbox with questions just yet and please keep this thread on topic.
