Root Moving Apps To Sd

Just a report on my experience on stock rooted...

Link2SD Plus with a 32Gig SD dual partitioned 16/16 FAT32/Ext4 @ Class10

I link every single thing for every downloaded app and never noticed any real slowdown aside from slower reboots and about half a second on major big games.

LOVE IT!!!!

Thanks for that info! I'm gonna get a class 10 next week thanks to you. Real racing 3 is lagging for me so I'm just keeping it all internal with my class 4. Wonder if anyone is using a 128gig on the zmax?

Hell, if I had read here first I would've sprung for a 64... Now I'm a little pissed with my 32! LoL

Gotta admit it though- *damn* nice keeping internal available... And *I* still have gigs to spare everywhere finally!!! [emoji23] [emoji1]

The whole device feels better for it.

OK hello everybody I'm a noob, I have a 64 GB SD card can anybody pls explain to me how to move app to SD card, no big words pls

I'm currently using cm 12.1 but I'm gonna flash aicp in a moment, I like aicp more. no I don't have access to a computer
You can use Aparted to partition your SD card. The 1st partition should be fat32 and the 2nd partition should be ext4. Know that you will have to completely erase your SD card in order to partition it. You have to unmount the SD card before you can partition it so if you don't have a computer you will have to go back to the stock ROM in order to use Aparted.

hope u get this before u do
Here is what u must do to partion ur sdcard for use with link2sd/app2sd without computer
1) Flash stock ROM with root
2) reboot into recovery
3) flash switcher zip for stock ROM
4) reboot into recovery (to normal boot)
5) Download app called aparted
6) goto storage settings and unmount sdcard (if you are unable to unmount choose the erase sdcard option and once that completes u will be able to unmount)
7) load aparted and grant su access
8 ) click tools and choose first partition then choose resize then click apply
9) now choose how big u want ur partition to be then click OK
10) now choose number 2 then choose create click apply
11) choose how big u want ur partition to be choose to format ext4 click OK
12) your done just remember to flash restore zip for stock ROM before flashing another rom

Edit: now with the recent update to aparted, u no longer have to be on KitKat rom, it will work on lollipop

Is it OK if I already flash the aicp ROM cuz I already flashed it,where can I get the zip for stock ROM

Boo why would anyone want to partition an sd card when obb on sd is working now. I am so glad I got rid of my 2nd partition. You can't use it for anything other than apps. If you need some more space you can't just uninstall an app to free up a little.

@daveyoung you should use xposed Framework and obb on sd if you don't want to partition your sd card. It's better, easier, so much less of a pain. I have almost 10 gigs of apps and still have 6 gigs free. Pretty good for only having 11.64 to start with. No partition required.

You don't need to use a switcher to partition an SD card. You only need a switcher to modify the system partition. You don't have to modify the system partition to partition an SD card. Think... I don't know why people think they need to use a switcher for every little thing. Unless you are adding, removing, or editing a file or directory inside the system folder, you don't need system r/w
