Hello and welcome to Android Forums S4 frustated :)

Try running your phone in Safe Mode for a few hours, as per #1.4 of S4 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide, to determine if this is a firmware or a user apps and settings problem. If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, you will need to go through your user apps and settings to see what is causing the issue. If the problem remains in Safe Mode, try wiping the cache partition, as per #1.3 of the guide or re-flash your firmware as per #2.7.

Install GSam Battery Monitor, free from the Play Store, and leave your phone overnight, after first fully charging it, and see what is consuming your battery when idle.

FWIW my first S4 Galaxy running 4.4.2 started waking itself with a beep - screen would light up - then go off. It was doing it about every 3 or 4 hours. I checked everything I could think of (Alarm, Apps, etc) and decided to put it in Safe Mode. I left it in Safe Mode for 36 hours and nothing unusual happened during this period. This not my main phone and I did not use it during this test period. I Disabled Safe Mode and there has not been any problem since (5 days). Go figure. Neil.
