Root re: download error message

I did burn the unbrick tool iso to a cd then rebooted from the cd. What I posted earlyer was in the Linux desktop

That unbrick tool IS Linux. Not Windows operable. You need to burn that tool onto a DVD (burn IMG) or flash drive as in a Live Boot .ISO reboot PC and boot into the .ISO... Hope that helps

I now know why I can't root the phone with ZTE Unbrick Tool. The Linux OS that ZTE Unbrick Tool works on is just flat out not seeing the phone. I have tried 5 different USB cables. None of them work in the Linux OS . But all 5 cables work just fine in Win7 Home OS. I also tried all 5 cables on a different phone that uses the same USB cable. The cables are fine. But I can't try ZTE Unbrick Tool on that phone. Different make and model.

It happens.. But I've never once had a problem with burning & running that unbrick tool over 3 diff PC's.. You MAY just have a corrupted IMG/DL. I went thru 4 DVDs before realizing my ISO was corrupted

Well I will try to d/l an other ZTE brick tool ISO probley after I get home from the meeting tonight. Right now it is 5:40am and I am going to get a few zzzzz's before I get Patrick up for school at 8am.

I just got done d/l a new ZTE unbrick tool and burned a new cd. I still get the same problem. The ZTE unbrick tool won't see the phone. And when I do the cmds manually via the terminal I still get the error message "the file fastboot boot warplte_mmcblk0p16_recovery.img can't be found". I am stumped. I can try one other thing. Take the ZTE unbrick tool cd and see if it will work on my room mates laptop.

Copy recovery to Root of SD card. Try copying to both SD's, actually..

Roadkill I did try 5 different data cables on all 3 of the USB ports in this laptop. All 5 cables work just fine in Win7 Home OS. But ZTE unbrick tool in the Lenox OS just flat won't see the phone. Later tonight when my room mates laptop is free. I will try the ZTE unbrick tool there.

I think (but not 100% sure) the reason ZTE unbrick tool is not working is because the phone isn't rooted. I tried ZTE Warp 4g CWM flash tool at http://androidforums.com/threads/tool-warp-4g-cwm-flasher.814304/ This is what is on the phone display now.
----------
CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.7

reboot to system now.
wipe data/factory reset.
wipe cache partition
backup and restore
mounts and storage
advanced >
reboot normal recovery
reboot to bootloader
power off
wipe dalvik cache
report error
key test
show log
partition sdcard
***** go back******
I am not sure what to do from here about rooting the phone using this prog. And I can't find anything on the internet that says what each cmd line does. Also the warple stock b13 deodexed.zip is on the ext sd card.

I've not HAD to use the tool to flash anything to my Warp4G yet. When I was talking about copying the "recovery" to SD.. Recovery = CWM or TWRP
