Root [ROM][CM11][4.4.4][FOR][Exhibit][T599x]

Look at the instructions like this. If it doesn't tell you to do it, don't do it. So unzip nothing. Leave them as is on your sd card. Also odin has an option that says auto reboot. You should tick that so you won't have to reboot it yourself. Although you can reboot it yourself if you wanna boot directly into recovery mode by holding the power button until your phone restarts.

I have the same phone. I used a laptop to view instructions step by step via youtube and it worked out well. I live the custom rom and suggest it to anyone who wants to unlock their devices full potential
 
Just signed up for this site to leave this dev a comment I just flashed everything last night and after boot I fell in love with this ROM. I'm on a SGH-T599N. Keep up the excellent work. Its working 100% even the time.

Instructions
  1. Download CM11 4.4.4, Philz Touch Recovery, GAPPS,Place CM11 4.4.4, GAPPS,on your external sd card.
  2. Flash Philz Touch Recovery via ODIN. Turn off your phone, and put your phone in download mode by pressing volume down button, home button and the power button simultaneously and letting go. Press volume up when prompted.
  3. Plug in your phone via usb, and open up ODIN and load the recovery in PDA and flash away. Do not tick or untick anything.rom After it flashed, reboot to recovery (by pressing volume up, home, and power simultaneously).
  4. Make a full backup in case things go Bad.
  5. Do a factory reset or selec clean to install new rom.
  6. Install CM11 4.4.4, GAPPS, via recovery.
  7. Reboot to system, and enjoy CM11 4.4.4!:rolleyes::D

make Netflix work in this rom:

now just install the app sign in account run the app and then if crash is ok reboot your phone and try again for this to work don't update the app in the Google just use this app all the time Netflix v3.1.1 build 1112 - Download - 4shared

Also I've just found out I can finally move apps to my SD unlike the stock version definitely a big ++++++++ I can't add enough + to show my graditude on that. You guys did the best job for this phone that I have seen so far. If there is any updates please let me know I'll gladly try the new update. I'll also be posting a link to this ROM in every tech social media group I'm in so you can get the exposure you deserve for such well put together software you've made. Again thanks alot

I tried to post screenshots that I have this ROM and that it does support the movement of apps to sdcard but it's not in the correct format to do that but if you have an email I can email the screenshots to prove it works. As I said I love the ROM. Even with it stock I couldn't move the apps to SD but with this I can and it saves a lot of space. I've only recently had a problem of my battery getting about 110°F but that's probably because I'm always on my phone messing with different akp files and programs and I was extremely happy to see that the Linux involved with this ROM is Ubuntu
 
This is by far the best KK ROM i've found :) ... but recently, I found a bug in HD Recording:

"Camera App FC (crash/stops/exit) when you stop recording a video :( "

Luckly, I've searched other forums and found this PATCH that solved this problem :D !!!

[CAMERA PATCH FIX THREAD] > Once there, look for:
"CM_Fixed_Camera_for_CM_All_AOSP_roms_by_RohanAJoshi_V5.0.zip"

Install it via Recovery: Install ZIP then Wipe CACHE and DALVIK & Reboot phone... enjoy :) !!!
 
Hello, @dadcup :) ... just wondering:

Could it be possible to make some kind of "experimental" kernel for CPU overclocking?... I'm curious about how far can be this dual-cpu stable... can be possible a trying of 1200 or 1300Mhz cpu kernel flash mod?

or settings>Network settings
whatever it is haha.

Sorry this is a little late. The baseband on your phone did not exist when these ROM's were created. It must be new. There is no way to know if these ROM's will work with your baseband but if you are willing to take the risk...
What you need to do is find the blobinstaller.sh file inside the ROM zip and, with a text editor, replace the other T599N baseband with the one above.

P.S. NO, that video will not help you.

I just got a new laptop but alas, I no longer have my T599N. If there is anyone with any "real" skill, everything you need is in my github account. Also, ROM's can be ported from the s3mini. They use the same patches we do.

I will try to compile and see what comes, if i want to compile cm 12.1 and cm 13, what branch i need to use in the kernel and device tree ?

Cant intall it i tried it on philz and twrp i have a SGH-T599N keeps saing failed to run blobsinstaller.sh etc status 7 install aborted wen i reboot stays on boot banner
