I've removed FauxSound from this one. I also want to keep an eye on battery usage, I've had crap battery life the last few days and it looks like the kernel power manager wakelocking. I'm hoping that was also FauxSound, but there's a chance it could ironically be Adreno Idler.

Still bootlooped at first LG logo, with and without wipe of caches. No problems going back to beta2c.

Awesome! I appreciate the compliment, but

Heads up, something is very wrong and it's painfully obvious when using GPS. The phone starts up very responsive but as it's used it slows down to a crawl. When using GPS it starts having trouble tracking you after about a half hour. Once in this state, even shutting down to reboot is slow. Looking into it.

Didn't notice, used it yesterday for work, but yea only for about 35-40 minutes.

P.S. the link in to the kernel source in the OP is linking to the wrong source. Seems like it's the right text link matched to the wrong actual link.

I'm noticing while playing a game that things are quite slow with everything set to performance. Attached are files with a dmesg and /proc/last_kmsg. Also a logcat from during game play.

EDIT: Game played was Hitman:Sniper from the Google Play Store

Is it worse than with the stock kernel? That's a relatively high end game.

It's worse, at least I could play it with stock. Load times were still long but once the main game loaded it played fine.
Stock: long wait times, playable game
Uno Kernel: long wait times, jittery play making it nearly impossible to shoot at the correct target

Yeah, I just ran tried One Finger Death Punch and it's lagging more than normal too. :/

im using beta2b. what are you using to check wakelocks? my top ones are google app maps facebook android wear and play store. guys with the game lagging try and test gpu with 320mhz lowest clock w/450mhz max maybe its polling 100mhz.

Ran several benchmarks and game play tests with this, the uno494, and the uno33 kernels. With the governors set on performance, duo scored higher in benchmarks, but performed worse in game play. Scores plummeted everywhere when i set up my typical configuration, but game play performance was unaffected. I have screenshots of the benchmark results.

Even the uno494 kernel seems to be running better without zram. Maybe the problem lies there?

I know this isn't quite a Nexus, but is there anyway to get dualboot to attempt installing Ubuntu to our device?
It's just something I've wanted to tinker with ;)
Don't think this is the right thread for that. But you should start a new thread cuz I been pondering it too. I would start with https://github.com/meefik/linuxdeploy. The apk is in play store. Major issues you run into are memory space. I was thinking maybe you could set up the phone to boot from sdcard. Also good luck with drivers haha

Tried to use the profile app function, but it doesn't stay running while in game.

http://developer.android.com/training/testing/performance.html#measure

under developers options there is a show cpu usage, and profile gpu redering you can select on screen as bars then you can use busybox or somthing to log dumpsys gfxinfo.

I was wondering is there a device tree for the stock zv3-zv6 kernel without modifications that i can fork.

Are you looking for the dt.img or the defconfig? dt.img you can pull out of a stock kernel image, defconfig you can go to the first voltdos commit.
